Paint stores · WhatsApp marketing

Tell the painter the shade tins are in before the drive to the shop.

WhatsApp marketing for a paint store is the use of one business number to share stock, shades and offers with painters and homeowners who have agreed to hear from you. GullySales sets up the number, the lists and the messages without turning the chat into noise.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For paint stores

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The painter already lives on WhatsApp”

A contractor on a site photographs a wall, asks for a shade and expects an answer on the same chat. A dealer who replies with a stock note and a price gets the order. A dealer who says come to the shop loses the afternoon.

  • “A personal number is not a business channel”

When orders arrive on the owner's own phone, they vanish when the phone is lost or the staff change. A business number with a catalogue, labels and a shared inbox lets the counter answer in the owner's absence.

  • “A broadcast to everyone annoys everyone”

Sending a Diwali offer to painters, homeowners and builders in one message suits none of them. Lists by buyer type, with consent recorded, let each group hear something relevant and give the owner a reason to keep the chat active.

  • “Photographs do the selling”

A wall photograph, a shade card and a picture of the finished room carry more than a paragraph. A catalogue of shades and products, with the photographs, answers the usual questions before a painter asks them.

What we do

What we deliver for paint stores.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business number and profile

A WhatsApp Business account with the shop's name, hours, address and a short description of brands and services.

Result: Customers meet a profile that looks like the shop.

  2. A catalogue of products and shades

Interior, exterior, putty, primer and waterproofing entries with photographs, and a page of shades you can mix.

Result: A painter can browse stock without a call.

  3. Lists by buyer type

Separate lists for painters, homeowners, builders and designers, with a note of consent for each contact.

Result: Each group receives only the messages meant for it.

  4. Saved replies for common questions

Saved answers on delivery, shade matching, coverage and credit, ready to send from the counter.

Result: Staff answer in the owner's words from the saved text.

  5. A stock and offer message plan

Short messages for new stock, festival repaint offers and waterproofing before the rains, each with a clear next step.

Result: Messages carry something the buyer can act on.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these paint stores.

  • Authorised dealers of a single paint brand
  • Multi-brand paint and hardware dealers
  • Paint stores with a tinting machine and a colour consultant
  • Wholesale paint dealers supplying painters and sub-dealers
  • Paint and building chemical stores selling waterproofing
  • Paint stores that supply builders and housing societies
  • Wood polish, melamine and automotive paint dealers
  • Small neighbourhood paint shops serving repaint jobs

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is it all right to message painters who have not asked?
Message only people who have given their number to you and agreed to hear from you, and record the agreement. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging before sending a broadcast.
Can WhatsApp take orders and payments?
It can carry the order in a chat and share a payment link. Keep the bill and the stock entry in your own billing record, so the chat does not become the only copy.
How many messages are too many?
Fewer than you think. Send when there is real news: stock in, a festival offer, a rain warning. A painter who hears from you only when it matters keeps reading.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
