Pet product stores and brands · Local SEO

Show up first when someone in your area needs a bag of food tonight.

Local SEO for a pet store is the work of appearing on Google Maps and local results when an owner nearby searches for a food, a litter or a shop that delivers. GullySales sets up your Business Profile and directory entries around what you stock and where you deliver.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For pet product stores and brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The profile lists a category and nothing you sell”

A search for a particular dog food or cat litter near her cannot find a shop that has not said which brands it carries.

  • “Opening hours do not match when the phone is answered”

The profile says open until ten, the shutter is down at nine and a customer drives over for nothing. She will not try again.

  • “A second branch shares the first branch's reviews and phone”

Reviews for one outlet appear on another, and the delivery person rings the wrong shop.

What we do

What we deliver for pet product stores and brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile built around what you stock

Primary and secondary categories, each brand and product group as products or services, delivery areas, accurate hours and clear photographs of the shelves.

Result: A search for a brand near her includes you.

  2. Photographs a shopper trusts

Shop front with the board, shelves by brand, the counter and the delivery bag, taken in good light.

Result: She sees a real shop she can find.

  3. Directory entries brought into line

JustDial, Sulekha, IndiaMART and neighbourhood directories matched on name, address, phone and categories, and old entries claimed or merged.

Result: Every listing says the same thing.

  4. Questions answered on the profile

Delivery area, pet entry policy, brands carried and payment options, answered on the profile itself.

Result: Fewer calls that begin from nothing.

  5. Posts for new stock and offers

Profile posts for a new food, a litter back in stock or a grooming day, with a call button.

    Result: The profile looks alive.

  6. Calls and directions counted

Calls, direction requests and WhatsApp taps from the profile, read against the figures taken first.

Result: You can see what the map listing brings.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a search for a pet shop is decided, and what a shop can do about each part.

Relevance: category and products
Choose the category that best describes the shop, then list the brands and product groups you stock. Check Google's current category list and guidelines before changing them.
Distance: the shopper's location
Owners search from home or from the road. You cannot move, but you can state the localities you deliver to and the landmarks that help someone find you.
Prominence: reviews, photos and mentions
Reviews from local owners, regular photographs and mentions on pet-group pages count. Ask every customer at the bill desk, and answer each review.
Directories owners actually use
JustDial and Sulekha carry enquiries for pet shops. Keep the same name, address, phone and brand list on each. Ignore directories that ask for payment to appear.
Name, address and phone, identical everywhere
Pick one way to write the shop's name and address, including the floor and landmark, and copy it everywhere. An old phone number splits reviews between two entries.
Hours that match the shutter
Set regular hours, special hours for festivals, and update them when they change. A wrong closing time costs you the person who drove over.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We also deliver to areas far from the shop. Do we show a service area?
Yes, if you deliver. Keep the shop address visible since customers can visit, and add delivery areas separately. Check Google's current guidelines on service areas so the profile stays within them.
A competitor's listing has a keyword stuffed into its name. Can we report it?
You can report it under Google's naming rules, but the outcome is not in your hands. Keep your own name accurate, because adding words to yours risks suspension.
We have three shops. One listing each?
Yes, one for each staffed shop, with its own phone, hours and photographs. Do not copy reviews or shared names across them. A central brand page can point to each.
Does it matter that our shop is on the first floor?
It matters to the customer. Say so in the address, name the street-level landmark and add a photograph of the entrance. The profile should help someone with a pet in her arms find the staircase.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
