Stationery and office supply dealers · Buyer persona

Know who really picks the supplier: the admin, the accountant or the principal.

A buyer persona for a stationery dealer is a written profile of the person who chooses, approves and reorders supplies, which differs between an office, a school and a parent at the counter. GullySales works on drawing those profiles from your own order history and enquiries.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For stationery and office supply dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The person who orders is not the person who pays”

The admin executive sends the list and compares dealers. Accounts approves the bill and cares about a correct GST invoice and payment terms. A pitch written only for one of them misses the objection raised by the other.

  • “A school has a buyer in May and another in June”

The principal or trust office places the bulk order for registers and exam stationery in the spring. Parents then arrive at the shop with a class list in hand. These are two different people with two different reasons to choose you.

  • “The parent at the counter wants the exact list, not a bargain”

Standing in the queue before reopening, the parent holds a sheet from the school and wants every item on it found. Range and a ready kit win that sale. A discount on a single pen does nothing for them.

  • “The wholesale buyer thinks in margin and credit”

A small retailer or printing shop buying from you asks about margin, credit days and whether stock arrives when promised. Sending that buyer the office catalogue shows you do not know what they are weighing.

What we do

What we deliver for stationery and office supply dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona sheets for each type of buyer

One page each for the office admin, the accounts approver, the school administrator, the parent and the wholesale buyer, covering what they order, what they compare and what makes them switch.

Result: Every outreach message can name the buyer it is written for.

  2. An order-history read

A reading of your past invoices and WhatsApp orders to see which accounts reorder, what they buy together and which stopped.

Result: The profiles rest on your own customers, not on guesses.

  3. The questions each buyer asks first

A short list per persona, such as delivery area, invoice format, credit terms or the school's exact list.

Result: Your replies answer the first question instead of the third.

  4. A decision map for office accounts

Who suggests, who approves and who signs for each office account you hold or want, written beside the account record.

Result: You know whom to call when an order slips.

  5. Message drafts for each persona

A first message, a quote cover note and a reorder reminder written in the words each buyer uses.

Result: The shop team stops sending one message to everybody.

  6. A review of the personas against lost accounts

The profiles checked against the accounts that went to a marketplace, to see what that buyer valued that you did not offer.

Result: Gaps show up as named reasons, not a vague sense of lost trade.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need personas if we only run a shop?
A walk-in shop still serves different buyers, the student, the parent and the office runner. Writing down what each wants shapes what you stock near the counter and what you say when they ask.
Where does the information for a persona come from?
From your invoices, your WhatsApp order threads, the quotes you sent and the accounts that stopped. We read those with you and fill the gaps by asking your counter staff what buyers say out loud.
Should a school and a corporate office share a persona?
No. A school buys in bursts around the academic year and decides through a principal or trust office. An office reorders steadily through an admin. The timing, the approver and the objections all differ.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
