Electrical and lighting dealers · WhatsApp marketing

The photograph of a light, a rate list and a quote travel best over WhatsApp.

WhatsApp marketing for an electrical and lighting dealer is the use of a business number to send product photographs, rate updates, quotes and showroom follow-ups to the people who have agreed to hear from you. GullySales sets up the number, the catalogue and the rules for who is messaged and why.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For electrical and lighting dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Electricians already ask for rates on WhatsApp”

The electrician on site sends a photograph of a switch or an MCB and asks for the price and stock. A business number with a saved catalogue and saved replies answers in the same chat, and records who asked for what.

  • “Families share lights with each other, not with you”

A couple photograph a chandelier and send it to the parents. If the showroom sends a clean image with the model, size and price, the decision continues in a chat you are part of instead of on a marketplace.

  • “A broadcast to everyone burns the list”

Sending the same message about Diwali lights to electricians, designers and families makes it irrelevant to the other groups. Separate lists for each group let the trade hear about stock and the family hear about rooms.

  • “Consent is the part owners skip”

Adding people to a group without asking leads to blocks and complaints. Messages go to people who opted in, with a clear way to stop. Check the platform's current rules for business messaging before sending anything in bulk.

What we do

What we deliver for electrical and lighting dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business profile and catalogue

Your WhatsApp Business profile with hours, address and a catalogue of the products people ask for again and again.

Result: A buyer can see what you stock before they ask.

  2. Saved replies for common questions

Saved answers for price, stock, delivery and showroom timings, written in the language your customers use.

Result: Staff answer the same way each time and without typing from scratch.

  3. Separate lists by buyer

Contacts grouped into trade, families, designers and project buyers, each with a reason to receive messages.

Result: Each message goes to people who care about it.

  4. An opt-in routine

A simple way to ask at billing and in the showroom for permission to message, recorded against the name.

Result: You can show who agreed to hear from you.

  5. Quote and photo templates

Layouts for sending a lighting suggestion for a room or a bill of materials quote that look clear on a phone.

Result: Buyers can read the quote without calling to ask what it says.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to send

Send the photograph, the rate and the quote where the buyer already asks.

Photograph of the fitting asked about
A clear picture with the model name, size and colour temperature, sent to the person who asked and nobody else.
Rate list for a contractor
Sent individually after a conversation, never as a broadcast, with the date it was prepared so old figures are not used.
Bill of materials quotation
A PDF with brands, ratings and delivery terms. Also keep a copy in the quotation register for the project desk.
New stock note for electricians
A short message on a broadcast list of electricians who have asked for it, naming the range and the shelf it is on.
Showroom hours before a festival
One message to families who visited, giving the opening hours and the new fittings on display.

Who it is for

This is written for these electrical and lighting dealers.

  • Electrical trade counters serving electricians and contractors
  • Decorative and architectural lighting showrooms
  • Switchgear, cable and wire distributors
  • Fan, light and home electrical retail stores
  • Electrical equipment suppliers for industrial and project buyers
  • Solar and LED lighting dealers
  • Smart home switches and automation dealers
  • Multi-brand electrical dealers with a project sales team

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The team uses personal numbers for orders, and customer contact would leave with the staff member.
  • You have not collected consent from the electricians on your list, and messaging them now risks the platform's current rules.
  • You want WhatsApp to replace showroom visits, though a family chooses lights by seeing them lit.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we use our personal number or a business number?
A business number. It keeps customer chats away from personal ones, lets several staff reply and carries your shop name. Moving existing contacts across needs their agreement, and we plan that step with you.
Can we send offers to all our electricians at once?
Yes, if they have agreed to hear from you and the message is useful to them, such as stock arrival or a rate change. Check the platform's current rules, and keep each message short and relevant.
Can WhatsApp replace our showroom visits?
No. A family still wants to see a light switched on. WhatsApp keeps the conversation going before and after the visit, with photographs, prices and answers to the questions the family left with.
Can we put the whole shop's stock on WhatsApp?
A catalogue can hold the ranges you stock, but with thousands of items it should hold the lines customers ask about most. Keep it current, since an item shown and sold out loses trust. Check the platform's current rules for the catalogue feature before setting it up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.
