Software development companies · Reputation management

Answer the buyer asking what happened to your last project.

Reputation management for a software firm is handling what past clients and former engineers say in public, because a buyer risking money on an unbuilt product reads all of it. GullySales watches the mentions, drafts replies and collects reviews that survive scrutiny.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For software development companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Every buyer has heard of a project that died

A founder left with half a codebase by somebody else checks you far harder than the brief suggests.

  • Attrition is read as delivery risk

A buyer looks at your team's job-site reviews and works out whether the engineers who pitched will still be there.

  • A rescue client asks about the last vendor

How you talk about the firm that left the project half-built tells the buyer how you will talk about him.

What we do

What we deliver for software development companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Reviews asked for at the right milestone

A request sent after a release goes live and the client is using it, not months later while an invoice is being argued.

Result: Reviews come from a moment that went well.

  2. Alerts on the company and the founders' names

Watches on search, review platforms and social, so a post from a client or a former engineer reaches you early.

Result: You answer before a buyer finds it.

  3. A drafted reply for the delay complaint

A factual answer setting out scope changes, dates and what was delivered, agreed with you before anything is published.

Result: One reply ends it instead of a thread.

  4. A change record behind every project

Scope changes, approvals and dates kept per project, so a public claim about a delay can be answered from the record.

Result: You argue with a document, not a memory.

  5. Employer reviews watched and answered

Replies to reviews from engineers who have left, and a routine for asking the present team during a good quarter.

Result: A buyer checking attrition sees both sides.

  6. The complaint pattern reported each month

Themes pulled from reviews, exit conversations and lost proposals, with the change to make inside the firm, against the audit baseline.

Result: The same objection stops arriving next quarter.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for software development companies

  1. 1

    Assess

The free audit looks at revenue by client, where each project came from, how proposals are priced, and how much founder time goes into selling.

  2. 2

    Choose the specialism

A written decision on domains, project types and markets to lead with.

  3. 3

    Build the proof

NDA-safe case studies, a discovery offer and a proposal that answers the buyer's risk questions.

  4. 4

    Run the pipeline

Research-led outreach, partner referrals and a CRM that shows every opportunity.

  5. 5

    Grow the accounts

Account plans, next-phase proposals and support contracts for every client you have delivered for.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

A client posted that we missed a deadline. What now?
Reply once with the dates and what changed in scope, then offer a call. The argument is what the next buyer reads.
Do verified review platforms matter?
For overseas and startup buyers, yes. A profile with real reviews reaches a shortlist that referrals cannot.
How do we show our work when everything is under NDA?
Describe the problem, the approach and the result without the client's name or screens. Buyers mostly want to know that you have solved a similar problem, and an anonymised case study with a reference call on request usually does the job.
Should we quote fixed price or time and material?
Use a paid discovery to fix the scope first, then offer a fixed price for well-defined work and time and material for evolving products. Quoting a fixed price on a two-line idea usually costs you money or the client.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
