Structural and civil engineers · Reputation management

A committee asks three other buildings about you before calling.

Reputation for a structural engineer is what an architect, a builder and an apartment secretary say when somebody asks about you. It is also what a contractor says the day a crack appears. GullySales sets up the monitoring, the review routine and the site record that answers a dispute with facts.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For structural and civil engineers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The blamed design is this trade's reputation risk

When something goes wrong on site, the contractor's first move is to say the drawing was wrong. Without a stage record the owner hears two opinions.

  • Committees ask other committees

A secretary rings the secretary of a building you audited. What that person says about your report and your conduct on site decides the appointment.

  • Engineers will not ask for reviews, so they have none

Most structural practices have an empty Maps listing, while a testing agency that does no design work has forty ratings above them.

What we do

What we deliver for structural and civil engineers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A stage inspection record shared with the owner

A photographed note after each check recording what was inspected and approved before a pour, issued to the owner at the time.

Result: A later dispute is answered with dated evidence.

  2. Monitoring across Maps and local forums

Regular checks of your listing, association groups and the local forums where committees ask about engineers and testing agencies.

Result: A damaging comment is found while it is still one comment.

  3. Review asks once a report is presented

A short request to the secretary after the audit has gone to the members, worded around the method and the clarity of the report.

Result: Reviews come from people who saw the work properly.

  4. Reply wording for a disputed design

A calm, factual response that refers to the inspection record and the scope agreed, prepared before anybody needs it.

Result: A public dispute is answered without an argument.

  5. Written references from architects and committees

Short notes collected from practices and associations you have worked for, kept for proposals and empanelment.

Result: You have proof to send a committee that has never met you.

  6. A monthly summary of mentions and references

New reviews, replies, references collected and anything unresolved, reported against the baseline from the audit.

Result: The practice knows where it stands each month.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for structural and civil engineers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your appointments come from, how dependent you are on a few architects, and how many proposals turn into work.

  2. 2

    Fix the proposal follow-up

A standard fee proposal that explains scope, and a follow-up tracker for every proposal sent.

  3. 3

    Make the work visible

A project record by building type, a sample audit report and site inspection notes for owners.

  4. 4

    Widen the sources

Architect and builder outreach, local search for house owners and audits, and industrial shed outreach.

  5. 5

    Keep the specifiers

Regular contact with every architect and builder who has sent work, and a thank-you and project summary when a building completes.

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

A contractor is telling the owner our design was at fault. What protects us?
A written record of every stage inspection, photographed and shared with the owner at the time. It is worth asking your professional indemnity insurer and your licensing authority what they expect you to keep, because the registration at risk is yours.
Should we ask an apartment association for a review?
Yes, once the report has been presented and the committee is satisfied. Ask the secretary, keep it to a line about the method and the clarity of the report, and ask while the meeting is still fresh.
Can a structural engineering practice market itself without seeming commercial?
Yes, by showing work rather than making claims. A page explaining how you solved a transfer beam on a stilt floor reads as professional to an architect. An advertisement promising the best design does not.
How do we explain our fee to a plot owner comparing a cheaper engineer?
List what each fee includes. Drawings, calculations, site visits at footing, column and slab stages, and the certificate for plan sanction, set side by side, show the owner what the lower fee leaves out.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
