Structural and civil engineers · Social media

LinkedIn is where architects and builders check who you are.

Social media for a structural practice is LinkedIn and very little else. It is where architects, builders and fabricators look you up, and where a partner's post about a structure reaches specifiers. GullySales runs it from your partners' accounts, with permission settled on every project shown.

A community noticeboard under a small pitched roof, posters layered four deep, with a fresh notice just pinned over the corner of an older one

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For structural and civil engineers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Reinforcement photographs are this trade's content

A column junction, a raft being laid or a transfer beam in progress is read closely by every site engineer and architect who follows you.

  • A partner's account beats the firm's page

Specifiers follow engineers rather than consultancies. One partner posting every fortnight does more than a company page posting weekly.

  • Permission comes from two parties

A photograph on site involves the owner and the architect. Both should agree before publication, and it is a five-minute ask at the start of a project.

What we do

What we deliver for structural and civil engineers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Partner accounts set up and kept current

Each partner's profile completed with the practice, the building types they design and the qualifications and registrations they hold.

Result: An architect checking a name finds a credible engineer.

  2. A photography routine at site visits

A short rule on what to photograph at each stage and where to send it, so the material exists without a separate effort.

Result: Posting never depends on somebody remembering a camera.

  3. Permission agreed with owner and architect

A short written ask at project start covering photographs, publication and crediting, recorded with the project file.

Result: You can show work without an awkward phone call later.

  4. Posts that explain a structural decision

Short pieces on why a system was chosen for a site, written by a partner in plain words, with the client kept anonymous where needed.

Result: Architects see judgement rather than a portfolio.

  5. Messages recorded with other enquiries

Enquiries arriving as personal messages logged with calls and site visit requests, with an agreed time for a reply.

Result: A builder's message is answered the same day.

  6. Monthly reporting on contacts and enquiries

New specifier contacts, messages and enquiries traced back to the posting, against the baseline taken at the audit.

Result: The effort is judged on projects, not followers.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these structural and civil engineers.

  • Structural design consultancies for residential and commercial buildings
  • Independent structural engineers working with architects
  • Structural audit, testing and retrofitting specialists
  • Pre-engineered and steel building design consultants
  • Civil engineering consultancies for roads, drainage and site development
  • Proof checking and peer review consultants
  • Geotechnical and soil investigation firms
  • Project management and site supervision consultancies

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for structural and civil engineers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your appointments come from, how dependent you are on a few architects, and how many proposals turn into work.

  2. 2

    Fix the proposal follow-up

A standard fee proposal that explains scope, and a follow-up tracker for every proposal sent.

  3. 3

    Make the work visible

A project record by building type, a sample audit report and site inspection notes for owners.

  4. 4

    Widen the sources

Architect and builder outreach, local search for house owners and audits, and industrial shed outreach.

  5. 5

    Keep the specifiers

Regular contact with every architect and builder who has sent work, and a thank-you and project summary when a building completes.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is posting about projects unprofessional for an engineer?
Showing work is not touting. A post explaining how a long span was handled reads as competence to an architect. A post claiming you are the best consultant in the city does the damage people worry about.
Should we be on Instagram?
Only if you take decorative or heritage repair work, where photographs carry the story. For design and audit work the specifiers are on LinkedIn, and one platform done properly beats three neglected.
Can a structural engineering practice market itself without seeming commercial?
Yes, by showing work rather than making claims. A page explaining how you solved a transfer beam on a stilt floor reads as professional to an architect. An advertisement promising the best design does not.
How do we explain our fee to a plot owner comparing a cheaper engineer?
List what each fee includes. Drawings, calculations, site visits at footing, column and slab stages, and the certificate for plan sanction, set side by side, show the owner what the lower fee leaves out.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
