Telecom and broadband providers · Email marketing

Send the renewal notice and the outage update to people who agreed to hear from you.

Email marketing for a broadband provider is the use of email to send bills, renewal notices, outage updates and offers to customers and business accounts who agreed to receive them. GullySales sets up the list, the sender and the messages, and keeps to India's data protection law and your licence terms.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For telecom and broadband providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Email is used for blasts to a bought list”

Bought lists carry people who never agreed, and the sender domain ends up in spam folders.

  • “Customers get every message”

A business account manager and a home user receive the same offer.

  • “Outage updates arrive late or never”

Customers learn about a fault from their neighbours rather than from the provider.

What we do

What we deliver for telecom and broadband providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A consent record and list clean-up

A record of how and when each address was collected, with unsubscribes honoured.

Result: You send only to people who agreed.

  2. Sender and domain setup

A company email address with proper authentication, so messages reach the inbox.

Result: Customers recognise and receive your mail.

  3. Segments for homes and businesses

Separate lists for households, offices, society leads and franchise partners.

Result: Each reader gets a relevant message.

  4. Renewal and plan messages

Templates for renewal notices, plan changes and a thank-you after installation.

Result: Customers hear before the plan lapses.

  5. Service update template

A plain message for planned work and outages, with what is being done.

Result: Customers hear from you first.

  6. A reply path

A named person who answers replies and a link to support.

Result: A customer who replies is not ignored.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

Settle these before any email goes out. India's data protection law applies, so check the current rules for consent and notices.

List source and consent
Write down where each address came from and how the person agreed. Do not mail a bought or scraped list, and remove anyone who has not agreed.
Sender identity
Use an address on your own domain, not a free mail account, with your company name and address in the footer.
Unsubscribe
Add a one-click unsubscribe in every marketing message and honour it at once. Service notices about a customer's own connection are different, but keep them to service.
Segments
Split customers, leads, business accounts and partners, and note the area. A household in a covered society should not get a message about a different area.
The message types
Decide what is a service notice, such as an outage, and what is marketing, such as an offer. Do not mix them in one email.
The reply path
Choose who reads replies and bounces, and how often the list is cleaned.

This is written for these telecom and broadband providers.

  • Local fibre broadband providers
  • Cable TV and broadband operators
  • ISP franchise partners and sub-operators

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the email marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, and how long it has been since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We check open and click rates from past emails to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into meaningful groups and a sending calendar is agreed.

  4. 4

    Implement content and automation

Emails are written, scheduled and, where useful, set to trigger automatically based on behaviour.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track performance and adjust subject lines, timing and content based on what the list responds to.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we buy an email list of businesses in our area?
No. Bought lists often hold people who never agreed, and mailing them risks complaints, spam marking and breaches of data protection law. Build the list from enquiries, customers and business cards given with consent.
Should we send a newsletter or one-to-one messages?
For a broadband provider, one-to-one messages tied to an event work better: a renewal, an installation, an outage or a plan change. A general newsletter is optional and should be short.
Why are our emails landing in spam?
Common causes are a bought list, a free mail address as sender, no authentication on the domain and many unopened messages. Fix the sender setup first, clean the list and send to people who agreed.
Can we email about outages and planned maintenance?
Yes. They are service messages that customers expect. Send them from a named address, say what is affected, the area and what you are doing, and keep promotions out of them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
