Telecom and broadband providers · Buyer persona

Know the household or office manager you are writing for, and check it against your own customers.

A buyer persona for a broadband provider is a short, plain description of the typical person who chooses a connection, such as a family in a flat or an office admin head. GullySales builds the card from your sales calls and then checks it against real customers, so the pages, ads and replies speak to them.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For telecom and broadband providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Everyone is a customer in the plan”

The message tries to speak to families, offices and PGs at once, and speaks to none.

  • “The decision-maker is not the user”

The person who uses the connection and the person who pays differ.

  • “Cards are built from imagination”

A persona written without checking looks tidy and is wrong.

What we do

What we deliver for telecom and broadband providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Three or four persona cards

Cards for the household, the small office, the PG or hostel owner and the society committee.

Result: Each message is written for a real person.

  2. Evidence from your sales records

Call notes, enquiry forms and complaints used to fill the cards.

Result: Cards come from customers, not guesses.

  3. A check with ten customers

Short conversations with customers of each type to correct the cards.

Result: The cards match real buyers.

  4. Use in ads, pages and scripts

A note on how each card changes the words on a page, an ad or a call.

Result: The team writes and speaks the same way.

  5. A refresh rule

A decision on when to revisit the cards.

    Result: The cards stay current.

  6. A persona-to-plan map

Which plan each card usually needs, and what to ask to confirm it.

Result: Recommendations are quicker and clearer.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

A persona card for this buyer

The card below is typical, not a fact about your customers. Check each line against real customers before using it.

Who they are
A family of four in a rented two-bedroom flat in a gated society, both adults working, children in school with online classes. Check by looking at your last installations in the same area.
What starts the search
A move to a new flat, a plan ending, a long outage or a neighbour's complaint. Ask each new customer what made him call, and write the answer down.
What worries them
Whether the connection works at their address, the installation charge, the contract terms and who will answer when it fails. Look at your complaint log for the same list.
What they compare you with
The national provider with the bigger name, and the other local operator the neighbours use. Ask each buyer which others he called.
Who else decides
A spouse who works from home, the landlord for the wiring, or the society committee. Add a line on your form for who is deciding.
What makes them say yes
A clear yes on the address, plain terms, a booked slot and a person to call. Test this by asking recent customers what tipped the choice.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How many personas do we need?
Three or four are enough for most local providers: the household, the small office, the PG or hostel owner and the society committee. More cards make the work harder to use and no more accurate.
How do we check a persona against real customers?
Call or meet ten of your customers of each type and ask the same five questions: what started the search, what worried them, who else decided, who they compared and why they chose you. Correct the card with what you hear.
Can we use the persona for ads and for sales staff?
Yes. Use it to choose words and pages for ads, to brief the sales team on what to ask, and to write answers to the usual worries. Treat the card as a working document, not a fact.
How do business buyers differ from households?
They need a static IP, a backup, a written support arrangement and sometimes a GST invoice. The user and the decision-maker are different people, so write one page for the admin head and another for the owner.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
