Website design and development companies · Digital marketing

Keep your own marketing alive while a build is due on Friday.

Digital marketing for a web company is the plan that keeps your site, search, social and past-client mail moving while the studio is buried in delivery. GullySales sets the calendar, names who owns each piece, and reports the projects it brought in.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For website design and development companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Delivery weeks are the weeks marketing stops”

Two launches land in one fortnight, nothing goes out, and the enquiry drought arrives a month later when everyone is free.

  • “Prospects check whether you practise what you sell”

You charge for speed and search, so an owner looks at your own load time before the first call.

  • “Two buyers sit on two different channels”

A manufacturer wanting a catalogue site is on Google and IndiaMART, a brand founder is on Instagram, and one calendar cannot serve both.

What we do

What we deliver for website design and development companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A plan with a name against every piece

Three months of case pages, posts and mailers, each with who drafts it, who approves it and the week it goes out.

Result: Nothing waits for a free week that never arrives.

  2. Work banked before the delivery crunch

Case write-ups, posts and one mailer drafted and approved between projects, ready to publish in the fortnight two launches collide.

Result: Your own marketing survives a heavy month.

  3. The studio site held to the standard you sell

Load speed, mobile layout and the search basics checked on your own site, using the same checklist you bill a client for.

Result: A prospect testing your site finds nothing to hold against you.

  4. Separate material for owners and for agencies

Search and listings aimed at owners looking for a site, LinkedIn and a partner note aimed at agencies who need a build partner.

Result: Two different buyers each get something written for them.

  5. One report the founders read in ten minutes

Enquiries by source and by build type on a single page, compared with the baseline recorded before the work started.

Result: You can drop the channel that has never produced a project.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for web studios

Use your own site as proof of the standard, then write the projects up.

Your own site held to the standard
Check that your site opens without delay on a phone, shows recent work and has a clear way to start a project. A prospect checks it before replying.
A case study for each project type
Write a brief, the decisions and the finished result in plain words, with client approval. Note which case study a prospect read before enquiring.
A scoping questionnaire
Publish a short list of what you need to price a site: pages, content, integrations and who approves. Record how many prospects fill it in.
A handover list with a maintenance date
Record every live site with its handover date and maintenance renewal date. Offer the plan before the date.
An enquiry sheet with source and size
Log each enquiry with source, type of site and rough size. Count which channel brings projects you want to build.
What to leave until later
Freelance platform bidding and ads on the phrase website design can wait until the sheet shows where good projects come from.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the digital marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Why us

Why a studio brings us in for its own pipeline.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

We work the part after the enquiry as well: the reply, the follow-up, the proposal and the CRM your own pipeline runs on.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which channel actually brings web projects?
Search and referrals for most studios. Social brings brand founders, and LinkedIn brings agencies looking for somebody to build their client work.
How do we market ourselves without stopping delivery?
Bank the work in a quiet fortnight. Pages and posts written in advance go out while the team is on a build.
Should we show packages with prices?
Package pages work where scope repeats, such as a business site with set pages. State what is included and what costs extra, in a table. For custom work publish how you scope instead. A visitor who sees what is outside the package argues less later about scope.
How do we use client sites as our portfolio?
Ask each client at handover for permission to show the site and a line about the work, and keep the yes in writing. Where a client declines, describe the problem and approach without the name. A list of live sites is the proof a prospect checks first.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
