ERP software providers · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp to share demos and answers with the people who decide on ERP.

WhatsApp marketing for an ERP provider means using the app owners and accounts teams already check, for enquiries, demo scheduling, document sharing and customer updates. GullySales sets up the business account, message templates and handover rules, and keeps sales conversations respectful of consent.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For ERP software providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The owner prefers a chat to a form”

A manufacturer or distributor in India is easier to reach on WhatsApp than by email. A website button that opens a chat about their trade lets a busy owner ask a question before committing to a call, and it gives you a first message to answer well.

  • “Documents travel better than links”

An implementation plan, a sample report or a data migration checklist is easy to forward to the accounts head or the CA on WhatsApp. Keep each file short, named clearly and in a form that opens on a phone, since the first reader may never open a laptop.

  • “A shared number loses context”

If presales, support and sales all answer from one personal phone, history disappears when a colleague leaves. Use a business account with shared access or a connected tool, label each chat by stage and make sure customers know which number handles support.

  • “Customers need consent and restraint”

Broadcasting offers to every contact irritates existing customers and risks the number being restricted. Message people who agreed to hear from you, make opting out simple and keep upgrade or renewal notes factual. Check the platform's current rules before any campaign.

What we do

What we deliver for ERP software providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business account setup

A WhatsApp Business profile with trade, address, catalogue of modules and a clear greeting, plus a click-to-chat link for your site.

Result: Prospects reach a labelled business, not a personal number.

  2. Message templates for ERP conversations

Approved or ready-to-send replies for enquiry, demo booking, document sharing and post-demo follow-up.

Result: The team answers consistently and without retyping.

  3. Chat labels and CRM handover

A labelling scheme matching your pipeline stages and a rule for logging key chats in the CRM.

Result: A conversation is never lost when staff change.

  4. Consent and opt-out routine

A simple way to record permission and honour requests to stop messages.

Result: Contact lists stay clean and respectful.

  5. Customer notice templates

Short notes for version releases, support expiry and module announcements, written factually.

Result: Existing customers hear from you before a renewal, not only at it.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

The WhatsApp messages an ERP provider can send that an owner or accounts head will welcome.

Demo slot and what to bring
A confirmation with time, link or address and the sample documents the buyer should bring, such as last month's stock list. It saves a demo on made-up data.
Consent and opt-out record
Note when and how the contact agreed to messages, and honour a stop request. Check the platform's current rules and your own adviser's guidance before any bulk sending.
Document sent by email
A brief courtesy message that a proposal or process note has been emailed. The formal copy lives in email, where the buyer's accountant can find it.
Go-live day contact
A message giving the support number and the person to ask on the day. It reaches users who did not attend training.
Renewal and version notice
A note to the customer's named contact when a support term nears its end or a new version is ready, with a call offered. It reads as service.

Who it is for

This is written for these ERP software providers.

  • ERP implementation partners for SAP Business One, Odoo or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Tally partners selling add-ons and customisation
  • Zoho partners and implementation consultants
  • Industry-specific ERP product companies
  • ERP providers for pharma and retail distribution
  • Manufacturing ERP and MRP software vendors
  • Construction and project ERP providers
  • Cloud ERP and SaaS accounting providers for small businesses

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Sales and support still share one personal number, so a customer's issue could land in a salesperson's chat
  • You want to broadcast offers to a list in which nobody agreed to be messaged

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send bulk offers to our enquiry list?
Only to people who have agreed to receive messages, and inside the platform's current rules. Cold broadcasts risk complaints and a restricted number. A relevant message to a consenting contact about their own trade does more than a mass offer.
Should support run on the same WhatsApp number as sales?
Separate them if volume allows, because the two conversations have different owners and urgency. If you share a number, label chats clearly and set a greeting that tells people where to go for support.
Do we need the WhatsApp Business API?
Not necessarily. A business app account is enough for a small team. The API suits larger volumes, several agents and tool integrations. We start from your message volume and team size, then recommend what fits.
Should owners be added to a group with our team?
Only after go-live, for a single project, and with the group's purpose stated. A group during a sale lets one person's remark reach everyone, including the accountant who may doubt you. Use direct messages while the buyer is still deciding.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
