Website design and development companies · WhatsApp marketing

Run enquiries, proposals and approvals on WhatsApp without losing them in the chat.

WhatsApp marketing for a web design company means using the app where owners already message you, for first replies, proposals and project updates, in an organised way. GullySales sets up WhatsApp Business, your reply scripts and a habit of moving decisions into a written record.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For website design and development companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The first reply decides who gets the scoping call”

An owner who messages three studios talks to whoever answers with a sensible question. A greeting that asks what the business sells and what the site must do beats a brochure sent as an attachment.

  • “Approvals given on chat vanish when someone changes phone”

The client says the design is fine in a voice note, and months later denies agreeing. A decision made on chat needs a written confirmation that names the page, the change and the date it was agreed.

  • “Proposal PDFs get forwarded without the explanation”

A file sent on chat is passed to a relative or another vendor with none of your reasoning. A short message saying what is in it and what you would like decided gives the file a voice.

  • “Project groups blur the line between work and favours”

A group with the client, the designer and the developer fills with small requests at all hours. A stated purpose, a named contact and a rule for what goes to the change request note keep the group useful.

What we do

What we deliver for website design and development companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. WhatsApp Business setup

A business profile, greeting message, away message and labels that separate new enquiries, proposals sent and live projects.

Result: Every chat carries a label showing where it stands.

  2. First-reply scripts

Opening messages for new enquiries by site type that ask the two or three questions you need before a scoping call.

Result: The team replies to a new enquiry with the same sound structure.

  3. A message to send with every proposal

A short note to accompany the proposal file that states what is inside, the choice to be made and the next step.

Result: The proposal never travels without its explanation.

  4. A confirmation habit for decisions on chat

A template that restates an approval in writing and asks the client to reply yes, saved to the project record.

Result: Each approval has a written trace outside the chat.

  5. Project group guidelines

A message pinned in each client group that states its purpose, who is in it and how change requests are handled.

Result: Clients know what the group is for from the first day.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

The WhatsApp messages in a web project that must also reach the record.

First reply to a website enquiry
Ask the trade, the current site and the need, then offer a scoping call. Do not send a price list without knowing the build.
Proposal with a covering note
Send the PDF with three lines on what it covers and what the client supplies, so the forwarded copy still makes sense.
Decision confirmed on chat
Reply with a line restating the choice and the date, then copy it to the project record.
Content request with a deadline-free list
Name each item and the page it feeds. It keeps the chase factual.
Maintenance update to past clients who agreed
A note about a platform update that affects their site, sent only to those who opted in.

Who it is for

This is written for these website design and development companies.

  • Small web design studios for local businesses
  • WordPress and WooCommerce developers
  • Shopify and e-commerce website builders
  • Custom web application developers
  • UI and UX design firms
  • Web companies focused on one industry, such as healthcare or real estate
  • Hosting and website maintenance providers
  • Freelance web developers building a team

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your team uses personal phones for client chats, and approvals would leave with whoever changes numbers.
  • You plan to send promotional offers to old clients who never agreed to messages.
  • Your clients prefer email and a formal proposal, so a chat flow would add a channel nobody reads.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we send updates to past clients on WhatsApp?
Only to people who have agreed to hear from you, and only with content that is useful to them. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging before sending anything in bulk.
Should we use the WhatsApp Business app or the API?
A small studio starts with the Business app. The API suits larger volumes and needs a provider, a cost and more setup. We look at your enquiry flow first and recommend only what the volume justifies.
Can we send updates to past clients on WhatsApp?
Only to those who agreed to receive them, and with a way to stop. A platform update that affects their site is a fair reason to write. Check the platform's current rules on business messages, and keep a record of each consent.
Should we use the WhatsApp Business app or the API?
Start with the Business app, which handles a studio's volume with saved replies and labels. Move to the API when several people share one number and you need to link chats to a CRM. The app is enough until the volume demands more.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.
