Spas · Sales strategy

Point the front desk at renewals, walk-ins or the corporate deal, not all three.

A sales strategy for a spa sets the priority for the sales team between converting walk-ins, renewing monthly packages and closing corporate wellness contracts. Each needs a different pitch and a different measure of success. GullySales builds this with you around your actual therapist capacity and slow periods.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales strategy means

Sales strategy is deciding which customers to chase, through which channel and at what price, instead of every salesperson working their own way. GullySales sets this plan against your actual pipeline and the deals you have won and lost so far.

For spas

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Package renewal deserves as much attention as new bookings”

A regular customer's monthly package quietly lapsing is a lost sale, just as real as a walk-in who never returns. A strategy that only chases new customers misses it.

  • “Corporate contracts need a longer sales cycle built in”

An HR manager deciding on an employee wellness tie-up takes weeks of discussion and approval. A strategy expecting a quick close on this kind of deal will be disappointed.

  • “Capacity sets the ceiling on the strategy”

A strategy promising more bookings than your therapists can deliver in a day just creates cancellations and unhappy customers. The plan has to match demand to actual chair and therapist availability.

What we do

What we deliver for spas.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Priority statement for walk-ins, renewals or corporate deals

A written decision on which of the three gets the sales team's attention this period, based on your slow periods and capacity.

Result: The sales effort has one clear focus instead of chasing everything.

  2. Package renewal tracking ahead of lapse

A record flagging a package due to lapse before the renewal date, rather than after the customer has already drifted.

Result: A regular customer is asked to renew before they simply stop coming.

  3. Corporate pitch timeline built for a longer cycle

A stated timeline for a corporate wellness pitch, from first contact through HR approval, matched to how long these deals actually take.

Result: A slow-moving corporate deal is expected, not mistaken for a lost cause.

  4. Capacity ceiling stated against the sales targets

A stated maximum, based on current therapist and chair capacity, that any sales target is checked against.

Result: Targets never promise more bookings than the spa can actually deliver.

  5. Strategy results checked against the baseline

A review against your baseline comparing what the strategy aimed for with what walk-ins, renewals and corporate deals actually delivered.

Result: The next quarter's strategy is set from real numbers, not assumption.

How the result is measured

  • Win rate
  • Average deal size
  • Pipeline coverage against target

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Choices a sales strategy makes

Make these calls from your booking register, package records and therapist rota.

Which treatment to lead with
Look at which treatments bring customers back for a second visit, such as deep-tissue massage, abhyanga or foot reflexology. Lead with one your therapists are trained in and can offer on weekday afternoons.
When the package is offered
Check package records for the first treatment most package buyers started with. Train the desk to offer the package at checkout after that treatment, not before a customer has tried the spa.
Who sells at the desk
Name the person who offers packages and books the next visit at checkout, instead of leaving it to the therapist who just finished. Therapists can recommend; the desk closes and records the sale.
Which offices to approach for corporate slots
From the booking register, list offices and co-working spaces nearby whose staff already visit. Approach their HR teams for weekday afternoon slots, the hours your rota already pays for.
Which offers to stop
Check which discounts were redeemed on weekends, when the spa would have filled anyway. Limit offers to weekday slots, and drop any offer that brings one-time bargain hunters who never return.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales strategy work runs

  1. 1

    Review the current approach

We study how the business currently targets customers, sells and prices its offer.

  2. 2

    Assess the market

Segments, channels and competitors are reviewed against where genuine opportunity sits.

  3. 3

    Develop the strategy

Clear direction is set on where to focus and how to reach it.

  4. 4

    Document and present

The strategy is written up and presented, with a plain explanation of the reasoning.

  5. 5

    Plan implementation

A practical roadmap for the first steps is agreed before the engagement closes.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should walk-ins or packages be the priority?
It depends on your slow periods; a spa struggling with weekday afternoons usually gets more value from pushing packages than chasing more walk-in traffic.
How long does a corporate contract take to close?
Often one to three months from first pitch to a signed agreement, so this needs to run alongside, not instead of, everyday walk-in and package sales.
I greet every customer myself. What happens to sales when I am not there?
Write down what you say at the desk: how you ask about preferences, which therapist you suggest and how you offer a package. Train one desk lead to do it the same way, and keep a short note on each regular's preferences in the booking system so they are recognised without you.
Bookings dip in the monsoon and rise before weddings. How should we plan?
Read last year's register for the slow and busy stretches. Ahead of the wedding season, offer bridal and pre-wedding packages and plan therapists' leave around it. In the slow stretch, offer weekday packages and corporate slots to regulars, and use the spare hours for therapist training.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
