Spas · Sales training

Train the front desk to offer a package without sounding like a hard sell.

Sales training for a spa teaches reception staff and therapists how to mention a package or an add-on at the right moment. It also teaches them to answer a hygiene or price objection calmly. GullySales trains your actual team on your actual treatments, not a generic sales script.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales training means

Sales training teaches a sales team a skill it does not yet have, such as handling a specific objection or running a proper site visit, usually through a structured session. GullySales runs these sessions around real objections and calls from your business rather than generic sales theory.

For spas

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The package offer as a suggestion, not a pitch”

Asking a customer if they would like to save on their next few visits with a package leads to more sign-ups that feel like good service. Pushing a hard sell at the till does not.

  • “Hygiene objections need a rehearsed, confident answer”

A hesitant first-timer asking about cleanliness needs a specific, practised answer about linen and equipment, not an improvised reassurance that sounds uncertain.

  • “Therapists are part of the sales team, not just the service”

A therapist who mentions a couple package or a facial add-on partway through a treatment closes sales a script at reception alone cannot reach. The moment works because the customer is relaxed and receptive.

What we do

What we deliver for spas.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Package suggestion training for reception

Training on offering a package as a helpful suggestion, phrased so it reads as service rather than a hard sell.

Result: More customers sign up for a package without feeling pushed.

  2. Hygiene objection rehearsal session

A practised, confident answer to cleanliness questions, rehearsed until it no longer sounds improvised.

Result: A first-timer's biggest hesitation gets a steady, confident answer.

  3. Therapist upsell training during treatment

Training for therapists on mentioning a couple package or facial add-on at a natural point mid-treatment.

Result: A relaxed customer hears the offer from the person they trust most in the room.

  4. WhatsApp conversation training

Training on giving the same confident, consistent answers on WhatsApp as staff give in person, since many bookings now start there.

Result: A WhatsApp enquiry gets the same standard of answer as a walk-in.

  5. Recorded call review session

A review of real recent calls and messages, used to coach on the specific moments where a booking was lost or won.

Result: Training is built from this spa's own conversations, not a generic script.

How the result is measured

  • Skill assessment scores
  • Objection handling improvement
  • Conversion rate after training

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Situations to practise

Six reception and treatment-room moments a spa should practise, and what good looks like.

A caller asks whether this is a proper spa
Answer calmly: therapist training, hygiene routine, a private room, a woman therapist on request. Practise not sounding defensive, since the question is about safety.
A first-time guest at reception
Ask pressure preference, injuries, allergies and pregnancy before the treatment. Practise using the consultation sheet as a conversation.
What do you do about hygiene
Say the actual routine: fresh linen, sanitised equipment, clean towels. Practise saying it in two sentences, truthfully.
The package after a good first visit
Say one sentence at billing, tied to what the guest said they needed. Practise the line without pushing, and accept a no at once.
The therapist during treatment
Ask if the pressure is right. At the end, mention a related treatment once. Practise it as service, which is how a good therapist already speaks.
A corporate wellness enquiry
Ask headcount, space available and the days that suit. Offer a short written proposal. Practise a business tone, since the buyer is an HR or admin manager.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales training work runs

  1. 1

    Assess current skill levels

We review the team's current strengths and gaps, by observing calls and talking to managers.

  2. 2

    Build the curriculum

Content is developed around your product, customers and sales cycle.

  3. 3

    Schedule and deliver

Sessions run on a set calendar, with practice built into each one.

  4. 4

    Check understanding

Short knowledge checks confirm what has actually stuck.

  5. 5

    Review and refresh

The curriculum is revisited periodically and refresher sessions are run for the wider team.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long does training take?
A half-day session covering front desk and therapist conversations, followed by a review of real bookings a few weeks later.
Does this cover WhatsApp enquiries too?
Yes, since many bookings and package questions now arrive by WhatsApp, and staff need the same confident, consistent answers there as in person.
Therapists do not like selling. How do we get them to take part?
Do not call it selling. Practise it as service: asking whether the pressure is right and mentioning a treatment that suits what the guest described. Let senior therapists show it. If a therapist is truly uncomfortable, keep the offer at the desk.
Can we practise on real guest feedback?
Yes. Use comments from Google reviews and your own feedback cards, and play them back as situations: what would you say at the desk. Staff see that complaints are often small things, such as waiting or doubt about hygiene, and can be answered.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
