Brand ambassador and celebrity endorsement · Marketing

Put a known face behind your brand, with the fee, the rights and the disclosure agreed in writing.

Some buyers choose a brand because someone they know and trust stands behind it. A cricketer for a sports shop, a regional film actor for a jewellery showroom, a respected local doctor for a clinic: the face lends the brand a familiarity it would take years to build alone.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A creator and marketing team planning a filmed product presentation

In one paragraph

A brand ambassador programme pairs your business with a person whose name carries weight with your buyers, from a local personality to a celebrity. GullySales plans the programme, drafts the brief, supports negotiation of the fee and rights, and prepares the disclosure wording. Scope and fee are agreed in writing after the requirements brief.

This is occasional, fee-driven work, and it is not right for every business. The fee is set by the person or their manager, the rights you buy decide where the face may appear, and the arrangement has to be disclosed to the audience. We plan the programme with you, draft the brief and the agreement points, and prepare the disclosure wording before anything is published.

Creator deals sit on the influencer and creator marketing page, which also covers celebrity names within a campaign. This page is for a longer ambassador relationship or a paid appearance, where one person represents the brand over a set period and at set events. We do not claim access to any named celebrity. We approach people and their managers on your behalf, and whether they agree is their decision.

The problem

Does this sound like your business?

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “The face does not match the buyer”

A well-known name is chosen for fame alone, and the people who admire the person are not the people who buy from you. The attention arrives, and the enquiries do not.

  • “The fee buys less than the business assumed”

An appearance fee covers a visit. Using the person's photograph in an advertisement, on a hoarding or on packaging is a separate right, and the business learns this after the event.

  • “The endorsement is not disclosed”

A post or an advertisement shows a paid relationship as though it were a personal recommendation. Advertising standards in India expect the connection to be made clear to the audience.

  • “The claims go beyond what the brand can support”

A person says something about the product that the business cannot prove, and both the brand and the person are exposed to a complaint.

What we do

Everything that is included.

Each deliverable, and what it gets you. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Programme planning

What the ambassador is for: a launch, a season, a set of events or a longer relationship, and who the person needs to reach.

  2. Ambassador shortlist

People whose audience matches your buyer, from local personalities to nationally known names, shortlisted with the fit explained for each.

  3. Outreach to the person or manager

Approaches made on your behalf. Whether someone accepts is their decision, and we make no promise of access to any named person.

  4. Fee and rights agreement points

The fee, the appearances, the exclusivity, where the person's image may be used and for how long, set out for a written agreement your own adviser can check.

  5. Brief and approved claims

What the ambassador may say about the product, what they may not, and who approves content before it is published.

  6. Disclosure wording

A clear statement of the paid relationship for each post, advertisement and event announcement. Check the current rules of the advertising regulator and each platform.

  7. Appearance planning

The run of an event or visit set out with you: purpose, schedule, what the person is asked to do, and what the brand provides.

How the result is measured

  • Appearances and content delivered against the written agreement
  • Reach and engagement on the ambassador's posts
  • Enquiries traced to the ambassador's content or event, where trackable
  • Footfall or sign-ups at an appearance, where you record them
  • Total cost of the programme, including usage rights, against what the brand received

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for you if these sound familiar.

  • Consumer brands and showrooms launching a new outlet or product that needs a recognisable face
  • Local businesses that want a respected personality from their own city to represent them
  • Brands planning a paid appearance, such as an inauguration or a store event
  • Companies with a budget for a named person and the rights to use their image
  • Businesses selling in a regional language, where a known regional personality speaks to the buyer directly

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Businesses that want guaranteed sales from an endorsement; a famous face buys attention, not purchases
  • Brands without a budget for a fee, usage rights and the cost of the appearance itself
  • Businesses that would not state the paid relationship openly to their audience

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs

  1. 1

    Requirements brief

We start with a brief: what you sell, who buys, the budget you can commit and what you want the ambassador to do. Scope and fee are agreed in writing after it.

  2. 2

    Shortlist and approach

We draw up the shortlist with you and approach the people and their managers once you have chosen.

  3. 3

    Agree the terms in writing

Fee, appearances, usage rights, exclusivity and approvals are put into a written agreement before any content is made or any date is announced.

  4. 4

Prepare the content and the disclosure

The brief, the approved claims and the disclosure wording are settled, and content is checked against them before it goes out.

  5. 5

Run the appearances and review them

We support the appearances and the content, then go through what was delivered against the agreement.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you get us a particular celebrity?
We make no claim of access to any named person. We approach them or their manager on your behalf, and the decision, the fee and the dates are theirs.
What is the difference between an ambassador and an influencer?
An influencer deal is for specific pieces of content. An ambassador represents the brand across a period or a set of appearances, and the agreement covers more: events, exclusivity and the use of their image.
Does the endorsement have to be disclosed?
Yes. A paid relationship has to be made clear to the audience under advertising standards in India. We prepare the wording for each use, and you should check the current rules of the regulator and the platform before publishing.
Can we use the person's photograph in our advertisements?
Only if that right is in the agreement, with the places and the period written down. It is separate from the fee for an appearance, so settle it before the shoot.
Will an endorsement increase sales?
We cannot promise that. It buys attention and familiarity, and we show you what was delivered and what can be traced so you can judge the value yourself.
How is this priced?
There is no published price. The fee is put in writing after the requirements brief, and the ambassador's own fee is separate and agreed with them or their manager.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
