Paid media account audit · Marketing

You are spending on ads every month, so find out where the money actually goes.

Some owners have been paying an agency or an employee to run ads for a year or more, and cannot say which rupees produced an enquiry. The platform dashboard shows clicks and impressions. It does not show whether the phone rang.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A consultant and business owner reviewing a marketing account report

In one paragraph

A paid media account audit is a paid, one-off review of the ad accounts you already run, starting with Google Ads and extending to Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft. GullySales opens the accounts, checks tracking, structure, audiences, search terms, creative and landing pages, and gives you the findings in writing.

This is a diagnostic, not a pitch for a new campaign. We read your requirements brief, talk to you about the spend, and then put the scope and the fee in writing. Nothing starts until you have agreed to both.

Once the accounts are shared with us, we look inside them rather than at a summary someone prepared for you. What we find is written down in the order you should deal with it, whether you fix it yourself, hand it to your current agency, or ask us to take it on.

The problem

Does this sound like your business?

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “The report says it worked, but the phone says otherwise”

Clicks and impressions are up, and the enquiries you can count have not moved. Nobody has put the two side by side.

  • “I do not know if the conversions are real”

A page view, a button tap and a form submission can all be counted as a conversion. If the tracking counts the wrong one, every number built on it is wrong.

  • “The search terms look nothing like my customers”

Ads can be shown for searches from job seekers, students and people in cities you do not serve. You pay for each of those clicks.

  • “The account belongs to someone I cannot reach”

The login sits with a former agency or an employee who left, and you are not sure what else is connected to it or who is billed.

What we do

Everything that is included.

Each deliverable, and what it gets you. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Access and ownership check

Who owns each ad account, who holds admin rights, which payment method is attached, and what breaks if the person who set it up stops answering.

  2. Tracking and conversion review

Which actions each account counts as a conversion, whether calls, WhatsApp taps and form submissions are recorded, and whether the numbers match your own enquiry records.

  3. Account structure review

How campaigns, ad groups and budgets are laid out, whether campaigns compete against each other, and where money sits on things that never produced an enquiry.

  4. Audience and targeting review

Locations, languages, customer lists and remarketing audiences on Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft, checked against who your buyers actually are.

  5. Search terms and keywords

In Google Ads and Microsoft, the real searches that triggered your ads, read line by line, with the irrelevant ones and the missing negative keywords listed.

  6. Creative and landing page review

The ads people see and the pages they land on, read the way a buyer reads them, including how the page behaves on a phone.

  7. Written findings and next steps

A document that sets out what was checked, what was found, and the order to deal with it. It names the platform settings concerned and carries no scoring.

How the result is measured

  • Conversions the account records against enquiries you can verify
  • Spend on search terms that have nothing to do with what you sell
  • Campaigns with spend and no recorded enquiry
  • Gaps in tracking across calls, WhatsApp and forms
  • Landing pages that do not match the ad that sent the visitor

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for you if these sound familiar.

  • An owner spending on Google Ads or Meta ads who doubts the agency's report
  • A business that inherited ad accounts from a former employee, freelancer or agency
  • A B2B firm paying for LinkedIn clicks and unable to say which ones became conversations
  • A clinic, dealer or school whose cost per enquiry keeps rising and nobody can explain why
  • A company about to raise its ad budget that wants the foundations checked before the money goes in

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Businesses that have never run paid ads, since there is no account to open and a plan is the cheaper first step
  • Owners who will not share access to the ad accounts and the analytics, because the findings come from inside them
  • Anyone looking for a promise of cheaper clicks or more leads. An audit finds problems. Fixing them is separate work.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the paid media account audit work runs

  1. 1

    Requirements brief

You tell us which platforms you advertise on, what you spend and what you expected. We read it and talk to you.

  2. 2

    Scope and fee in writing

We agree which accounts are covered, what is checked and what you receive, and the fee goes in writing before any work starts.

  3. 3

    Access to the accounts

You give us view access to the ad accounts and your analytics. We ask for view access only, so nothing is changed during the review.

  4. 4

    Review of each account

We work through tracking, structure, audiences, search terms, creative and landing pages, and compare what the platforms report with your own enquiry records.

  5. 5

    Written findings

The findings reach you in writing, and we talk you through them. Any work that follows is scoped and agreed separately.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How much does a paid media account audit cost?
It is a paid piece of work, and the fee depends on how many accounts and platforms are covered. We agree the scope and the fee in writing after reading your requirements brief, before anything is opened.
Which platforms can you review?
Google Ads first, then Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Advertising. The platforms covered are fixed in the written scope, so you pay only for the accounts you actually run.
Do I have to hand over control of my ad accounts?
No. We ask for view access, and you remain the owner of every account. If you later want us to manage the ads, that is a separate scope and a separate fee.
Will the audit tell me to spend more?
Not as a starting point. Sometimes the finding is that the spend should be cut or moved, and sometimes that the ads were fine and the follow-up lost the enquiries. Whichever it is, it goes in the findings.
Do platform rules affect what you recommend?
Yes. Each platform changes its advertising policies and account settings from time to time, so check the platform's current rules before acting on any setting. We note the ones that apply to your account.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
