Auto repair shops · WhatsApp marketing
Answer the video of the rattle the way a mechanic would.
WhatsApp is where a garage enquiry actually arrives: a photograph of a dent, a video of a noise, a price question at ten at night. It is also how extra work gets approved without an argument at the counter. GullySales sets up the business number, the quick replies and the consent record.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means
WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For auto repair shops
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“The enquiry arrives as a video with no words attached”
A driver records the rattle and sends it. Somebody has to ask back for the make, the year, the reading and where the sound is coming from.
“Send the photograph of the worn part with the price”
A picture of a cracked mounting and a figure gets a one-line approval. A phone call asking for another two thousand rupees gets silence, and the car holds the bay.
“If the number belongs to a mechanic, so does the customer list”
Enquiries landing on a personal phone walk out of the gate when the mechanic does. A business number stays with the workshop, and so does every conversation on it.
What we do
What we deliver for auto repair shops.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A WhatsApp Business number for the workshop
One number on the Google Business Profile, the board outside and the job card, with the greeting, the away message and the labels set up.
Result: Enquiries stay with the garage when a mechanic moves on.
Quick replies for the four questions
Saved messages asking for the make, the year, the odometer reading and where the noise comes from, so a video gets a useful reply in seconds.
Result: A vague message becomes an enquiry you can quote against.
A catalogue of services with price bands
General service, AC gas, alignment and denting listed with the ranges you are willing to state in writing, so a price question answers itself.
Result: Fewer enquiries die on an unanswered price question.
Approval messages with the part photographed
A format for sending the worn part, the price and what happens if it is left, ready for the mechanic to send from the floor.
Result: Extra work gets approved in one line.
Service reminders sent only to the vehicles due
A message that goes to the cars due in the coming fortnight rather than to every number you hold, with the consent recorded on the job card.
Result: Your number stays unblocked and the reminders get read.
An after-hours routine
An away message saying when you open, and a morning list of everything that came in overnight, worked before the first car goes on the ramp.
Result: A message sent at eleven at night is answered before nine.
How the result is measured
- Messages delivered
- Reply rate
- Enquiries from WhatsApp
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What must be in place first
Settle these before the garage messages a single customer.
- A number that belongs to the workshop
- Move the Business app onto the garage's own SIM, in the owner's or manager's name. Vehicle histories and customer chats should not leave with a mechanic who changes jobs.
- Consent at the job card
- Add a line to the job card or billing screen: may we message you about this vehicle's next service. Tick it and record it. Reminders go only to vehicles with a tick.
- Photographs and videos of customer cars
- Say on the job card that you will photograph worn parts for approval. Keep registration plates and owner details out of status posts and every broadcast.
- Messages that start outside the chat
- A service reminder you begin yourself, after the customer last wrote, may need an approved template and may be billed separately. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing.
- Who reads the chat after closing
- Set an away message with working hours and say what a breakdown message should do. Name the person who reads the overnight chat first at opening, so a video of a noise is never left unseen.
- A first message that says how to stop
- Tell the customer how to stop reminders in the first message. A reminder for a car already sold is the quickest way to get the number blocked.
Who it is for
This is written for these auto repair shops.
- Multi-brand service garages
- Authorised brand service centres
- Denting and painting specialists
- Two-wheeler service centres
- Fleet and commercial vehicle service providers
- Insurance-claim repair specialists
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- The garage uses a personal number that the owner alone watches, so a business message would wait on one phone.
- Drivers have not agreed to hear from the garage by message, so a broadcast would reach people who never asked.
How it works
How the whatsapp marketing work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Read the chats you already have
We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.
- 2
Sort the list and the permission
Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.
- 3
Choose the app or the API
One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.
- 4
Write the replies and the plan
The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.
- 5
Connect the record and test
Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.
- 6
Read the unanswered questions
A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
