Chartered accountants and accounting firms · Lead generation

Separate the one-off return from the retainer before a partner picks up.

Lead generation for a practice means the enquiry arriving, being sorted by what it could become, and being answered before the deadline in the client's hand passes. GullySales sets the questions that tell a one-time filing from a retainer client, and builds the follow-up from first meeting to signed engagement letter.

A sorting hopper in a depot yard: a wide gold hopper on a steel frame, its throat splitting into three chutes that feed three floor bins, one heaped past its own spout, one half caught, one barely started

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For chartered accountants and accounting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A deadline is the qualifier

An owner holding a notice dated the fourteenth will hire somebody this week. An owner asking about audit in December is still comparing firms.

  • Referrals still have to be followed up

A banker's introduction is not a client. The firm that sends a scope and fee note within two days is the one that keeps the name.

  • July brings the wrong work at volume

The filing rush fills every desk with salaried returns while the audit and advisory prospects sit unanswered in somebody's phone.

What we do

What we deliver for chartered accountants and accounting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. One log for enquiries that arrive six different ways

The office landline, a partner's mobile, the website form, WhatsApp and a referral mentioned over tea, all recorded in one place with who is handling it.

Result: An enquiry stops depending on whose phone it reached.

  2. A triage form that sorts the season's rush

Entity type, turnover band, the deadline in hand and whether there is a current accountant, asked before any partner time is committed.

Result: Salaried filings go to the team and business owners go to a partner.

  3. A scope and fee note that goes out in two days

A reusable engagement scope for audit, GST retainers, ROC compliance and advisory work, filled in and sent within two working days of the first meeting.

Result: The prospect has something to decide on while the meeting is fresh.

  4. The referral sources written down

Bankers, lawyers, valuers and existing clients recorded with what each one sent and when, so a branch manager's transfer does not take the relationship with him.

Result: You know which relationship to go and see this month.

  5. Follow-up dates for the prospect who went quiet

Two dated reminders set on the day a fee note is sent, and a note in October for the business clients who came only for a return in July.

Result: The filing season feeds next year's retainer book.

  6. Monthly reporting from enquiry to engagement

Enquiries by source and service, meetings held, fee notes sent and engagements signed, measured against the baseline taken before work started.

Result: Partners see where the retainer clients actually come from.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for chartered accountants and accounting firms

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your clients come from, which services and client types you want more of, and what the institutes allow for your firm.

  2. 2

    Fix the proposal step

Engagement templates and a follow-up rule, so every serious enquiry gets a clear scope within days.

  3. 3

    Build the presence

A website organised by client type and service, consistent directory details and partner profiles, all within ICAI and ICSI guidance.

  4. 4

    Share knowledge

Articles, updates and talks under the partners' names, placed where bankers, founders and business owners read them.

  5. 5

    Grow the retainer book

Season-end conversion, cross-service reviews and referral relationships maintained through staff changes.

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How do we stop the July rush from taking over the firm?
Sort the enquiries before they reach a partner. A short form tells a salaried return from a business owner with a turnover figure, and the team handles the first group. Partners then spend the season on prospects who might still be there in October.
Is following up a prospect allowed under the code?
Replying to somebody who approached you is not solicitation. The restriction bites when you approach people who never asked. Have your partners check the current ICAI guidance on any outreach you are unsure about.
Can a chartered accountant advertise?
Only within the ICAI code of ethics, which restricts advertising and solicitation by members in practice. Websites and directory listings are allowed within the Institute's guidelines, and so is sharing knowledge through articles and talks. We check the current guidelines with you before anything is published and avoid claims of superiority, fee advertising and testimonials.
Can we run Google Ads for our firm?
We treat paid advertising as something to clear against the current ICAI guidance first, and for most firms we do not start there. A clear website, correct profiles and knowledge content usually bring enough of the right enquiries without that question.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
