Chartered accountants and accounting firms · Digital marketing

Run the firm's year on the compliance calendar, not on whoever has time.

Digital marketing for a practice is the website, the directory listings, the partners' articles and LinkedIn working to one plan across the compliance year. GullySales decides what each does in which month and reports enquiries by source, so the weeks after September are not empty ones.

A steam traction engine belted across a stackyard to a wooden threshing machine: the long flat belt taut between the flywheel and the drive pulley, the flywheel spinning, a straw elevator raking up off the far end, a full sack hanging on the sack spout, a corn stack half taken down behind and a water cart standing by

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For chartered accountants and accounting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The calendar writes the plan

Budget week, the July deadline, the September audit date and the ROC months decide what gets published, not a content calendar invented in January.

  • Partners are the channel

Nobody follows an accounting firm. They follow a partner whose note on a GST amendment made sense, so the job is getting his thinking onto paper.

  • None of it is advertising

Everything here is knowledge published under a partner's name, which keeps it inside what the code permits and is the only thing an owner reads anyway.

What we do

What we deliver for chartered accountants and accounting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A twelve-month plan hung on the compliance calendar

What gets published before the budget, before the July deadline, before the September audit date and in the ROC months, with the quiet weeks planned rather than skipped.

Result: There is something to do in October besides recover.

  2. One owner in the firm and a fixed hour each week

A named person responsible for publishing, and a booked slot in a partner's diary for the fifteen minutes of dictation an article needs.

Result: The plan survives the season instead of stopping in June.

  3. A decision on which channels the firm keeps

An honest look at the website, LinkedIn, the Business Profile, the institute directory and the old Facebook page, with a decision to keep, fix or abandon each.

Result: You stop maintaining a page nobody has read since 2019.

  4. A compliance check built into publishing

A short list run over anything before it goes out, covering comparative claims, fee mentions, client names and testimonials, with the current ICAI position noted against each.

Result: Publishing stops being the thing the firm is nervous about.

  5. One monthly report of enquiries by source

Every enquiry attributed to the search, the referral, the article or the listing that produced it, set against the baseline recorded at the audit.

Result: The article nobody read stops getting written.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for chartered accountants and accounting firms

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your clients come from, which services and client types you want more of, and what the institutes allow for your firm.

  2. 2

    Fix the proposal step

Engagement templates and a follow-up rule, so every serious enquiry gets a clear scope within days.

  3. 3

    Build the presence

A website organised by client type and service, consistent directory details and partner profiles, all within ICAI and ICSI guidance.

  4. 4

    Share knowledge

Articles, updates and talks under the partners' names, placed where bankers, founders and business owners read them.

  5. 5

    Grow the retainer book

Season-end conversion, cross-service reviews and referral relationships maintained through staff changes.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who writes all this while we are filing returns?
The partner talks and somebody else writes. Twenty minutes on a call about an amendment gives enough for a note, and the partner corrects it rather than drafting it. Nothing is scheduled in the fortnight before a deadline.
Do we need to be on LinkedIn?
For a firm that wants startup and funded-company work, yes, because the founders and the finance heads read there. A practice serving traders in one market gets more out of its referral relationships.
Can a chartered accountant advertise?
Only within the ICAI code of ethics, which restricts advertising and solicitation by members in practice. Websites and directory listings are allowed within the Institute's guidelines, and so is sharing knowledge through articles and talks. We check the current guidelines with you before anything is published and avoid claims of superiority, fee advertising and testimonials.
Can we run Google Ads for our firm?
We treat paid advertising as something to clear against the current ICAI guidance first, and for most firms we do not start there. A clear website, correct profiles and knowledge content usually bring enough of the right enquiries without that question.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
