Chartered accountants and accounting firms · Pay per click advertising

Settle the code question first, then buy only the words worth buying.

Pay per click advertising buys a listing above the search results, and for a member in practice that is a question for the ICAI code before it is a question of budget. GullySales puts the position in writing with your partners, and where advertising is not the route, spends the money on what brings the same enquiries.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For chartered accountants and accounting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The code comes before the keyword

A bookkeeping portal can bid on accountant near me all day. Whether a member in practice may do the same is not a question a media buyer gets to answer.

  • Which entity the advert names matters

Several firms run a separate accounting or payroll company beside the practice. Your partners decide which name appears, and that changes the whole account.

  • The clicks a practice regrets

Salaried return filing at five hundred rupees and CA course searches empty a budget in a fortnight. Neither becomes a retainer.

What we do

What we deliver for chartered accountants and accounting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A written note on the code, put to your partners first

A plain summary of where the current ICAI and ICSI guidance sits on paid advertising, placed in front of the partners before any account is opened, with their decision recorded.

Result: Nobody buys a click the Institute would ask about.

  2. Search terms sorted into the ones worth having

The keyword list split between owners with a problem, such as a notice reply or a first tax audit, and the salaried filing and coaching searches that only spend money.

Result: Budget goes where a retainer could come from.

  3. Negative keywords for students, jobs and free filing

Blocks on CA final, articleship, salary, vacancy, free ITR filing and the software brand names people search when they want a tool rather than a firm.

Result: The budget stops paying for people who will never hire you.

  4. A landing page per assignment, written factually

The page behind each advert covers one assignment, what it involves, what the client has to provide and how the fee is arrived at, with no comparison to any other firm.

Result: The click lands on an answer rather than a home page.

  5. A qualifying form before a partner picks up

Entity type, turnover band, the deadline in hand and whether there is a current accountant, all asked on the form.

Result: A partner's time goes to the enquiry worth having.

  6. Spend timed to the compliance calendar

Budget raised around the September tax audit date and the ROC filing months, held back in the weeks nobody is searching, with the monthly report showing what each period returned.

Result: Money is spent while the searches are being made.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

We look at where your clients come from, which services and client types you want more of, and what the institutes allow for your firm.

  2. 2

    Fix the proposal step

Engagement templates and a follow-up rule, so every serious enquiry gets a clear scope within days.

A website organised by client type and service, consistent directory details and partner profiles, all within ICAI and ICSI guidance.

  4. 4

    Share knowledge

Articles, updates and talks under the partners' names, placed where bankers, founders and business owners read them.

  5. 5

    Grow the retainer book

Season-end conversion, cross-service reviews and referral relationships maintained through staff changes.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Who decides whether we may advertise at all?
Your partners do, against the current ICAI guidance, and not us. The code restricts advertising and solicitation by members in practice, and the position has moved over the years. For a good many firms we recommend spending nothing here at all.
If we cannot advertise, where should that budget go?
Into the pages, the profiles and the speed of your reply. A firm that answers on the day and sends a scope note within two wins more of the same enquiries than one buying clicks.
Can a chartered accountant advertise?
Only within the ICAI code of ethics, which restricts advertising and solicitation by members in practice. Websites and directory listings are allowed within the Institute's guidelines, and so is sharing knowledge through articles and talks. We check the current guidelines with you before anything is published and avoid claims of superiority, fee advertising and testimonials.
Can we run Google Ads for our firm?
We treat paid advertising as something to clear against the current ICAI guidance first, and for most firms we do not start there. A clear website, correct profiles and knowledge content usually bring enough of the right enquiries without that question.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
