GullySales

E-commerce · Snacks & Confectionery

Buyers think all cashews are the same until the packet arrives stale.

Nuts are a commodity that buyers do not trust. The same almond is sold as premium and plain, a dry fruit shop weighs it in front of them, and online they see only a photograph. What they ask is whether it is fresh, whether it is the grade named, and whether the weight is true.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Nuts and dried fruit e-commerce is the online sale of almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, raisins, dates, figs and mixed packs, sold by weight, in sealed packs and gift boxes. GullySales works on how you describe grade, origin and freshness, how you price by the hundred grams against the shop, and how gifting and festival hampers are sold.

The segment sells in two ways: the family stocking the kitchen for a few months, and the gifting buyer at Diwali, Eid and weddings. They want different packs and different words.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell nuts & dried fruit online.

  • Dry fruit wholesalers and shops adding home delivery
  • Importers of dates, pistachios, almonds and walnuts selling in retail packs
  • Cashew processors and farm-linked sellers from Kerala, Karnataka and the coast
  • Brands selling gift hampers and corporate boxes of mixed dry fruit

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot say what grade or origin the product is, and expects the page to find one
  • Anyone selling on a margin that does not stand a courier charge on a small packet

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of nuts & dried fruit.

  1. Grade, size and origin

Jumbo cashews by count, Californian or Indian almonds, Iranian or Afghan pistachios, Medjool dates. Buyers use these names when they search, and judge you by whether the grade matches the price.

  2. Weight and price per hundred grams

The buyer compares the rate with the shop near them. Packs of 250 grams, 500 grams and a kilo should show the rate per hundred grams, so the arithmetic is done for them.

  3. Freshness and storage

Nuts go rancid and dry fruit gets sticky or infested if kept badly. Buyers look for the packing date, a resealable pack and a note on how to store.

  4. Roasted, salted or raw

Households buy raw to cook with and roasted to eat. Salted, flavoured or plain is a filter in its own right, and the page has to carry it in the title.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell nuts & dried fruit online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Customers say the nuts were old”

A stale packet is judged by smell and taste. Dated packs, sealed pouches and a statement of how long stock stays with you protect the reputation.

  • “We lose against a shop that weighs it in front of the buyer”

The shop is trusted because the scale is visible. Photographs of the weighing and sealing, and a promise on weight, move some of that trust online.

  • “Gift hampers sell for three weeks and then stop”

The festival rush leaves a list of corporate buyers and nothing planned for the rest of the year. A reorder reminder for family buyers and a plan for corporate repeat orders fill the gap.

What we do

What you get for nuts & dried fruit.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A grade and origin sheet

For each product: grade, count, origin, how it was sorted and how long it keeps, used on pages and in answers to buyers.

  2. A pack and price-per-hundred-grams table

Every pack size with the rate per hundred grams, so buyers can compare you with the shop without a calculator.

  3. A weighing and packing photograph set

Images of the weighing, sealing and dating, added to listings to carry some of the trust a shop earns in person.

  4. A corporate hamper quotation page

Hamper options, quantity bands and a form for date, branding and addresses, followed by a reminder routine for offices.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Return rate
  • Corporate hamper quotations won

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

Selling in India and abroad

Selling nuts & dried fruit beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. India is a processing and an importing country

Cashews and some other lines are exported in bulk through traders, which is a business-to-business sale. Selling retail packs abroad means shelf life, labelling and import rules for each country, all confirmed with your adviser.

  2. Festival gifting to Indians abroad

Diwali hampers and dates for Ramadan are bought overseas by families. We start from the overseas addresses you already deliver to.

FAQ

Questions about selling nuts & dried fruit online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I prove my dry fruits are fresh?
Put the packing date on the pack and the page, use sealed pouches and show how the nuts are stored. A buyer who sees the process believes the date. We write the page with your own photographs.
Should I sell small packs or a kilo?
Both, with the rate per hundred grams on each. First-time buyers try small packs, and a household that likes them moves to the bigger one. The courier charge on a small pack is the reason to set a basket value for free delivery.
Are dry fruits worth selling on Amazon?
They can be, since buyers search there by name and grade. The price comparison is harsh, so we check your margin after fees and delivery before you list. A grade and a story in the listing are what set you apart.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
