E-commerce · Tyres & Wheels

The buyer is choosing four tyres at once and wants one total they can trust.

A car owner replaces tyres rarely, perhaps once in a few years, so they know nothing about the market and fear being overcharged. They read the size off the sidewall, look at two or three brands, and then they ask the fitter.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Car tyre e-commerce is the online sale of passenger car and SUV tyres by size, brand and pattern, normally bought as a set of four and fitted near the buyer. GullySales builds the size and vehicle pages, the fitted-price comparison and the booking route that bring a car owner from a tyre search to a fitting appointment.

That is the sale. The owner is deciding between four tyres at one price, a fitting charge and a visit, and the listing that shows the total for their car, with a time to come in, is the one they pick.

Last updated 7 Oct 2026. Product, labelling and advertising rules for tyres & wheels differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell car tyres online.

  • Tyre dealers selling fitted sets for hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs in their city
  • Brands and distributors who sell car tyres through marketplaces and their own site
  • Multi-brand tyre shops that also do alignment and balancing
  • Sellers of tyres for taxi and fleet cars who quote sets on request

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Dealers who do not hold stock of the sizes they list. A buyer who books a slot and finds nothing will not return.
  • Sellers planning to describe wet grip or braking in numbers without the maker's own data. We will not write those claims.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of car tyres.

  1. Four tyres, one price

The buyer wants the price for the set, with fitting, balancing, new valves and old tyre disposal included. A listing priced per tyre with extras added at the end looks dearer than it is.

  2. The right pattern for the way they drive

The owner who drives in the city, the one who drives on the highway every weekend and the one who goes to hill stations ask different questions about comfort, noise and wet roads, and read reviews by use.

  3. Load and speed markings

The buyer who knows tyres checks that the markings on a replacement match or exceed what the car came with. Others ask a fitter. The page should show them as printed and not interpret them beyond that.

  4. Original or upsized

Some owners fit a larger rim and a lower profile for looks. They ask about ride, and about whether the car's speedometer and clearance are affected. A person should answer, not a page.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell car tyres online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “People compare our price with a shop that quotes fitted”

A web listing priced for the tyre alone loses to a shop price that includes fitting. Show the fitted price for four, or show what is extra, in the same box.

  • “Customers do not know which tyre their car came with”

They know the car and the year. A page by car model that lists the original size and the common alternatives saves the call and the doubt.

  • “Buyers ask if the tyre is new and fresh”

Show the date code and promise a photograph of the sidewall at dispatch. Do not claim an age you cannot prove from your stock records.

  • “Reviews are about noise and we have no answer”

Complaints of noise or a hard ride come from owners whose cars are not like the buyer's. Reviews and a short note by car type, written with the brand's own information, give the buyer something to match.

What we do

What you get for car tyres.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A car-to-size table

Popular cars with the original and the usual alternative sizes. It is the base of every page.

  2. A fitted-set price page

A set of four priced with fitting, balancing and old tyre removal. It makes the comparison fair.

  3. A booking form for fitting

Car, size, centre and slot in one step. It turns a tyre search into an appointment.

  4. A short guide to choosing for city, highway and hills

A plain page comparing patterns by use, written with the brand's information. It helps the buyer who cannot decide.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases and conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value for a fitted set
  • Fitting bookings completed
  • Repeat purchase rate for alignment and rotation
  • Return rate

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your tyre list by size, brand and pattern with stock by size
  • Your fitting charge and what it includes
  • A list of fitting centres with address and hours
  • Brand brochures and warranty terms as written
  • Questions customers ask most before ordering

Selling in India and abroad

Selling car tyres beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Rim and size conventions

Buyers abroad read sizes in their own order and sometimes in inches. An overseas page converts and shows both, and says which vehicles it suits.

  2. Weather and tyre type

A market with snow or heavy frost asks about winter use, which a pattern made for Indian roads may not claim. Describe the tyre as made, and leave the claim to the maker.

FAQ

Questions about selling car tyres online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should I show the price per tyre or per set?
Show both. Buyers think in sets of four, but marketplaces compare per tyre. Put the set price with fitting where the eye lands, and the per-tyre price where the comparison tools will find it.
Do car owners buy tyres online?
They search online and many book a fitting through the site, but the tyre is rarely couriered without a fitter. Your fitting centres are the other half of the listing.
How do I answer questions about tyre age?
Explain the date code and offer a photograph of the sidewall before dispatch. Be honest if stock is older. A buyer forgives an older date that is disclosed far more easily than one found at the fitter.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
