Energy management and audit companies · Content marketing

Publish the worked example a plant head forwards to his CFO, not another list of tips.

Content marketing for an energy audit company is the set of pieces that answer a buyer's doubts before the first call: what a detailed audit measures, how a saving is worked out, how it is checked afterwards. GullySales plans the pieces from your sales calls and lost proposals, while your auditors supply the numbers and check every line.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For energy management and audit companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Switch-off-idle-machines tips do not move a plant head”

A person managing a heavy compressor load reads a leaflet tip as noise and wants a worked example from a plant like his own.

  • “The best material is locked behind client confidence”

Plants rarely let an auditor publish their consumption, so the case notes that would convince buyers go unwritten unless someone arranges anonymous, cleared versions.

  • “A borrowed saving figure gets caught”

An article quoting a typical saving for a motor retrofit invites an engineer to ask for the basis, and a number with no source loses the reader and the page.

What we do

What we deliver for energy management and audit companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A worked savings example for each equipment type

One piece each for a VFD on a pump, a chiller retrofit, a compressed air leak survey and a capacitor bank, setting out the arithmetic step by step with the assumptions marked, using an invented plant if no client has cleared theirs.

Result: An engineer sees how a saving is built before he trusts one.

  2. An annotated sample bill

A real industrial bill with the client's details blanked, marked line by line to show demand charge, power factor adjustment and time-of-day rates, shared as a PDF and on WhatsApp.

Result: Owners pass it along to colleagues who read bills.

  3. Case notes cleared in writing

Short accounts by plant type and size band, such as a mid-sized plastics unit or a city hospital, approved by the client and stripped of anything that identifies the site.

Result: New buyers read relevant work without a client being exposed.

  4. Phone videos shot on site

An auditor explaining a thermal image, a leak survey or a logger being fitted, filmed with the plant's permission and nothing that identifies the premises.

Result: Buyers see the method before they meet the people.

  5. A list of doubts taken from calls

Every question raised on enquiry and proposal calls logged in the CRM, with the piece that answers it or a note that none exists yet.

Result: The next piece answers what buyers actually ask.

  6. Pieces read against enquiries

Which pieces were opened before an enquiry or attached to a proposal, read against the baseline from the free audit.

Result: You write more of what brings signed audits.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions buyers ask first

What a plant head asks before paying for an audit, and the piece that answers it.

How do you work out what we will save?
A worked example from an invented plant: baseline from bills and loggers, assumed hours and tariff, the arithmetic and a range. Show the calculation, not a percentage.
Will the audit disturb production?
A page on how loggers and clamp meters go on, which loads need a shutdown window and what the plant's own electrician does. State what your team never switches itself.
How is your audit different from the dealer's free one?
A comparison listing what a vendor walk-through covers and what a detailed audit adds, with an honest line on when the free walk-through is enough for a small unit.
Who checks the savings afterwards?
An explainer on measurement and verification: the baseline, the adjustment for production changes and how the post-retrofit readings are compared. Say who does it and whether it is a separate job.
What do I do with a thick report?
A guide that sorts recommendations into operating changes, small investments and larger projects, with a suggested owner in the plant for each, so the report ends in a first action.
Is an audit compulsory for us?
Say in general terms that a required audit applies to some consumers and buildings, link to BEE and the state agency for current rules, and tell the reader to confirm with them.

Who it is for

This is written for these energy management and audit companies.

  • Energy auditors accredited for designated consumers in sectors such as textiles, cement, paper and metals
  • Energy audit and management consultancies serving MSME factories and industrial area clusters
  • Building energy auditors for hospitals, hotels, malls, IT parks and campuses
  • ISO 50001 consultants who set up and audit energy management systems
  • ESCOs that finance a retrofit and are paid from the savings
  • Energy monitoring and sub-metering companies selling meters and dashboards
  • Power quality specialists working on harmonics, capacitor banks and maximum demand
  • Green building and sustainability consultants who model energy use for rating systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for energy management and audit companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where last year's audits and projects came from, how enquiries were answered, what happened to reports after delivery and which tenders you saw late.

  2. 2

Show the method and the maths

Audit pages, a sample report and a savings sheet, so a buyer can judge the work without a visit and without anyone breaking a client's confidence.

  3. 3

    Map buyers and triggers

Target plants and buildings by sector and DISCOM, with the tariff changes, audit cycles and rating dates that start each buyer's search.

  4. 4

Follow up every enquiry and every report

Calls, WhatsApp messages and tender leads given an owner and a first reply, and each finished report followed by a debrief and a project proposal.

  5. 5

    Measure and keep what works

Site visits, audits signed, retrofits won and renewals kept, read against the baseline, with sources that produced nothing dropped.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our auditors have no time to write. Can the pieces still carry their name?
Yes, if each piece is drafted from their notes or a recorded conversation and they read it before it goes up. The name on a piece means that person checked the arithmetic. A short review is enough, but it cannot be skipped.
Can we publish savings figures from past audits?
Only with the client's written consent, and with the assumptions beside the figure. Without consent, use an invented plant and label it as an example. A figure with no basis is what a finance head tears apart first.
Do we need the pieces in Kannada or Hindi?
Do the bill-reading explainer in the local language, because the owner of a small unit decides and reads it on his phone. Keep method and calculation pages in English, where engineers and consultants look.
Video or text?
Both, for different jobs. Phone video shows the instruments and the method on site, which builds trust. Calculations and sample reports belong in text and PDF, because a CFO forwards a document, not a clip.
Should we offer a free audit to win the work?
Only a narrow one, such as a review of a year of bills with a power factor and demand check. A free full audit trains buyers to expect free work, and the dealers already give that away. Let the small free step lead straight into a scoped, priced proposal.
Can we describe ourselves as BEE accredited?
Only if your status is current. Accreditation of energy auditors is run by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and its rules and list change, so check the official list and copy the wording exactly. Procurement teams do look it up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
