Energy management and audit companies · Sales process

Get the bills and the decision-maker on the table before an auditor drives to the plant.

A sales process for an energy audit company is the written order of steps from first enquiry to a signed audit and on to the retrofit: the trigger, the bills, the site walk-through, the proposal and the debrief. GullySales writes the steps with your lead auditor and keeps a record of where each enquiry stopped.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What sales process means

A sales process is the fixed sequence of steps, such as enquiry, site visit, quote and order, that every deal is expected to pass through in the same order. GullySales writes this sequence down for your business and checks that every salesperson actually follows it.

For energy management and audit companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The visit comes before the data”

An auditor spends a day on site on a phone promise, finds no bills and no one who can approve spending, and the proposal that follows is a guess.

  • “The sale stops when the report is delivered”

The debrief, the action owners and the supervision of installation are where an audit becomes a project, and no one's name is against any of them.

  • “Price is asked before scope is known”

A buyer wants a rate for the audit on the first call, while the number depends on connected load, the metering points and the plant's shutdown windows.

What we do

What we deliver for energy management and audit companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Steps in your firm's own words

Each step from enquiry to verified saving named the way your auditors already speak, with what must be true before a plant moves to the next one.

Result: Everyone knows where an enquiry stands.

  2. A data request sent before any visit

A year of bills, the single line diagram, the connected load list and production figures, requested in writing and tracked in the CRM.

Result: The first visit starts from numbers.

  3. A scope and instrument checklist

Which loads are logged and for how long, what access the plant's electrician must give, which equipment needs a shutdown window and who on the client side can stop the work.

Result: Site work starts without an argument about what was agreed.

  4. A savings sheet template in rupees

The same layout for every report: investment, yearly saving, tariff and hours assumed, payback, and who in the plant owns the action.

Result: The finance head reads the same page every time.

  5. A debrief with named owners

A meeting after the report where each action is given an owner on the client side and a start date they choose, logged as a stage in the CRM.

Result: The report ends in a first action.

  6. A project and verification step

An offer to supervise installation and to compare readings after the retrofit, booked when the report goes out and read against the baseline from the free audit.

Result: The relationship continues past the report.

How the result is measured

  • Deals following the process
  • Time spent at each step
  • Drop-off rate by step

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Steps of a sale

Take every energy audit enquiry from the first call to a verified saving in the same order.

Enquiry and trigger
Ask what started the call: a penalty line, a tariff revision, a mandated audit, a lender or a customer. Record the trigger and any date attached to it.
Bills and data request
Ask for a year of bills, the connected load list and the single line diagram. Record what has arrived and who on their side is collecting it.
Site walk-through and scope
Walk the main loads with the plant electrician, note what can be logged and what needs a shutdown. Record the decision-maker's name and the loads the owner worries about.
Proposal and savings basis
Send the scope, the instruments, the report contents and what is excluded. Record the date sent, who reads it and what they compared you with.
Audit, report and debrief
Log the loads, write the report and walk the client through it. Record each action, its plant owner and the date they agreed to start.
Retrofit support and verification
Offer to supervise installation and to compare readings afterwards. Record who installed, what was done and whether the saving was verified.

  • Power quality specialists working on harmonics, capacitor banks and maximum demand
  • Green building and sustainability consultants who model energy use for rating systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for energy management and audit companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where last year's audits and projects came from, how enquiries were answered, what happened to reports after delivery and which tenders you saw late.

  2. 2

Show the method and the maths

Audit pages, a sample report and a savings sheet, so a buyer can judge the work without a visit and without anyone breaking a client's confidence.

  3. 3

    Map buyers and triggers

Target plants and buildings by sector and DISCOM, with the tariff changes, audit cycles and rating dates that start each buyer's search.

  4. 4

Follow up every enquiry and every report

Calls, WhatsApp messages and tender leads given an owner and a first reply, and each finished report followed by a debrief and a project proposal.

  5. 5

    Measure and keep what works

Site visits, audits signed, retrofits won and renewals kept, read against the baseline, with sources that produced nothing dropped.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which of our people should do the first site visit?
A senior auditor, because the owner wants to meet someone who has done the work and will spot the loads that matter. Junior staff can fit loggers and take readings later, once scope and access are agreed.
A buyer only asks for the rate over the phone. Do we quote?
Give the factors that set it, not a figure: connected load, metering points, shutdown windows and report depth. Offer the data request as the next step. If he wants only the cheapest checklist visit, tell him that is not what you sell.
When should the quote go out?
After you have seen bills and spoken to someone who decides, either on site or on a call. A quote sent on a phone description gets laid beside a stranger's price, and you cannot defend the scope.
What should we write down at the site visit?
The connected load you saw, shutdown limits, who approves spending, who else will read the proposal, what earlier quotes said and what the owner is worried about. Put it into the CRM the same day, while it is fresh.
Should we offer a free audit to win the work?
Only a narrow one, such as a review of a year of bills with a power factor and demand check. A free full audit trains buyers to expect free work, and the dealers already give that away. Let the small free step lead straight into a scoped, priced proposal.
Can we describe ourselves as BEE accredited?
Only if your status is current. Accreditation of energy auditors is run by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and its rules and list change, so check the official list and copy the wording exactly. Procurement teams do look it up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
