Energy management and audit companies · Answer engine optimisation

Be the firm an assistant names when a plant head asks who can audit a factory's power use.

Answer engine optimisation (AEO) for an energy audit company means writing pages that AI assistants and search summaries can quote correctly when a buyer asks who can audit a plant, what an audit includes or how a saving is checked. GullySales makes your services, credentials and regions plain and consistent wherever they appear, and tests what assistants say.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What answer engine optimisation means

Answer engine optimisation (AEO) is writing content so that AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google's AI overviews quote your business. This happens when someone asks a question in your line of work. GullySales writes clear, factual answers to the questions your buyers actually ask so your business gets mentioned, not just your website ranked.

For energy management and audit companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Assistants repeat old scheme rules”

A description of audit requirements copied from a page written before a revision is quoted as current, and your page that links to the official source loses to it.

  • “Generic claims get passed over”

A page saying you help clients save energy and cost gives an assistant nothing, while a sentence naming the audits you do, the sectors and the region does.

  • “Savings figures get invented”

An assistant asked what a firm saves its clients may produce a percentage from nowhere, so your pages must say what you measure and that no figure is promised.

What we do

What we deliver for energy management and audit companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A single fact sheet for the firm

Services, sectors, regions, auditors, accreditation status and contact routes written once and matched across your site, LinkedIn, marketplace profiles and partner pages.

Result: Each source an assistant reads agrees with the rest.

  2. Answer-first openings on audit and sector pages

Each audit and sector page opening with one plain sentence on what it is, who it is for and what the buyer receives.

Result: The sentence an assistant lifts is the one you wrote.

  3. Question pages for doubts before an audit

Short pages on whether an audit disturbs production, whether it is compulsory and how it differs from a dealer's walk-through, in the words buyers use.

Result: Your answers exist for the questions asked first.

  4. Links to the official text, not copies of it

Rule wording left to the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, the state agency and tariff orders, with your page saying in your own words what it means for a plant and when it was checked.

Result: Your pages never go stale beside a rule that has changed.

  5. A dated log of assistant answers

The buyer questions put to the main assistants, with each answer, the sources it cited and whether your firm appeared.

Result: You learn which pages to fix without guessing.

  6. Corrections at the source

Old marketplace profiles, directory entries and PDFs that show dropped services or a lapsed status traced and corrected, with enquiries that mention an assistant recorded against the baseline.

Result: Old facts stop feeding old answers.

How the result is measured

  • Mentions in AI answers
  • Questions covered
  • Enquiries from AI referrals

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions to test in an assistant

Put these buyer questions to an assistant and see whether it names you, a rival or a directory.

Open a new session for each question and note the answer and its sources before you change a page.

Who does energy audits for factories in Karnataka?
Your sector and region pages must say plainly which audits you do and where your team travels. Note whether the answer names you or only large consultancies and directories.
What does an energy audit include?
Open your audit pages with a plain list of what is measured and what the report contains. Check whether the assistant describes your method or a generic one.
Is an energy audit compulsory for my factory?
Say in general terms that it applies to some consumers and buildings, link to BEE and the state agency, and tell the reader to confirm. Note whether the assistant states a rule as settled.
How much can an energy audit save?
State what the report measures and that savings depend on the plant. Check that the assistant does not attach a percentage to your firm.
How do I choose an energy auditor?
Publish a plain checklist: accreditation shown on the official list, named auditors, instruments, a sample report and how savings are checked afterwards. See whether your firm appears in the shortlist.
What nobody controls
Assistants answer differently by person, day and wording, and may never name your firm. Use each test to choose a page to improve. A mention, a ranking or an enquiry cannot be promised by anyone.

Who it is for

This is written for these energy management and audit companies.

  • Energy auditors accredited for designated consumers in sectors such as textiles, cement, paper and metals
  • Energy audit and management consultancies serving MSME factories and industrial area clusters
  • Building energy auditors for hospitals, hotels, malls, IT parks and campuses
  • ISO 50001 consultants who set up and audit energy management systems
  • ESCOs that finance a retrofit and are paid from the savings
  • Energy monitoring and sub-metering companies selling meters and dashboards
  • Power quality specialists working on harmonics, capacitor banks and maximum demand
  • Green building and sustainability consultants who model energy use for rating systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for energy management and audit companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where last year's audits and projects came from, how enquiries were answered, what happened to reports after delivery and which tenders you saw late.

  2. 2

Show the method and the maths

Audit pages, a sample report and a savings sheet, so a buyer can judge the work without a visit and without anyone breaking a client's confidence.

  3. 3

    Map buyers and triggers

Target plants and buildings by sector and DISCOM, with the tariff changes, audit cycles and rating dates that start each buyer's search.

  4. 4

Follow up every enquiry and every report

Calls, WhatsApp messages and tender leads given an owner and a first reply, and each finished report followed by a debrief and a project proposal.

  5. 5

    Measure and keep what works

Site visits, audits signed, retrofits won and renewals kept, read against the baseline, with sources that produced nothing dropped.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is AEO different from SEO for an energy audit firm?
The pages overlap. Both reward a plain, specific answer at the top. AEO adds a habit of asking assistants real buyer questions and fixing the pages and listings they quote from. Do the SEO pages well first.
Should we put our accreditation into structured data?
Mark up only what the page shows, and match the official list word for word. Structured data gives machines a clean statement of who you are and what you do, but it cannot stand in for a page that answers the question.
Which facts must match across LinkedIn, the marketplace and our site?
Legal name, office address, services, regions, auditor names and credentials. A buyer or an assistant that sees two different statuses will believe the one that sounds bigger, or neither.
An assistant says we are BEE accredited and we are not. What do we do?
Find where it read that, such as an old profile or a partner's page, and ask for it to be corrected. State your actual status plainly on your own site. Log the test and do not repeat the claim.
Should we offer a free audit to win the work?
Only a narrow one, such as a review of a year of bills with a power factor and demand check. A free full audit trains buyers to expect free work, and the dealers already give that away. Let the small free step lead straight into a scoped, priced proposal.
Can we describe ourselves as BEE accredited?
Only if your status is current. Accreditation of energy auditors is run by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and its rules and list change, so check the official list and copy the wording exactly. Procurement teams do look it up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
