Energy management and audit companies · Email marketing

Write to the plant head who has a bill problem, not to a purchased list of managers.

Email marketing for an energy audit company is the mail that brings a plant or building back to you: a note to a past client, a word when a tariff changes, a reminder when an audit falls due. GullySales sets up consent and sender identity, writes from a named auditor, and follows replies through to meetings.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For energy management and audit companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Bought lists name managers who have left”

A list of factory contacts includes closed units and people who moved on, and bounces from it damage the domain you use to send audit reports.

  • “Reports travel as attachments from a personal inbox”

Consumption data goes out from a free mail account, which a bank's or hospital's IT team may block and a careful client will question.

  • “Nobody writes after the report”

The client who paid for a study hears nothing until the next invoice, so the open recommendations quietly lapse.

What we do

What we deliver for energy management and audit companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A client and prospect list with its source

Each contact marked as client, referral, event contact or cold prospect, with where the address came from and what they agreed to, kept where your adviser can review it.

Result: Your list can answer where it came from.

  2. Notes for tariff revisions

A short message to clients in the affected DISCOM's area saying which line on their next bill may change and what to check, with a pointer to the official tariff order.

Result: Clients hear it from you before the bill arrives.

  3. Due-date mail for audits and surveillance

A note ahead of each mandated audit cycle, ISO 50001 surveillance audit or verification review, saying what has changed in the plant and what the next scope should add.

Result: Renewals start as a conversation, not a fresh tender.

  4. Open-action nudges after a report

A message to the owner of each unfinished recommendation, with the action restated, the cost recorded in the report and an offer to help or verify.

Result: Reports stop dying in the drawer.

  5. Sending set up under your own domain

SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the domain, mail sent from a named auditor, and reports shared by a controlled link rather than as an attachment.

Result: Your mail passes the check a bank's IT team runs.

  6. Replies and meetings counted

Replies, meetings booked and audits restarted from email, read against the baseline recorded before anything was sent.

Result: You can see which messages start conversations.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What an energy audit firm sets up before it writes to a single plant.

A list you can explain
Record for each contact whether they are a client, a referral, an event contact or a cold prospect, with source and date. India's data protection law sets duties on collecting and using personal data, so have your adviser read the process.
A sender who is a named auditor
Send from an auditor's address on your own domain with a role and a direct line in the signature. A plant head answers a person, not a company mailbox.
Reports sent by link, not by attachment
Share audit reports and bill data from a folder with access limits, so a plant's consumption figures do not sit in inboxes that get forwarded.
Segments by reason to write
Split the list by DISCOM area, sector and past audit type, so a hospital does not receive a note about foundry demand charges.
An unsubscribe that works across tools
Put an unsubscribe in every marketing email and sync it between your CRM and your sending tool, so someone who opts out stays out.
A reply path an auditor reads
Replies go to an inbox a named auditor checks, never a no-reply address. A plant head's question that sits unanswered is an audit lost.

Who it is for

This is written for these energy management and audit companies.

  • Energy auditors accredited for designated consumers in sectors such as textiles, cement, paper and metals
  • Energy audit and management consultancies serving MSME factories and industrial area clusters
  • Building energy auditors for hospitals, hotels, malls, IT parks and campuses
  • ISO 50001 consultants who set up and audit energy management systems
  • ESCOs that finance a retrofit and are paid from the savings
  • Energy monitoring and sub-metering companies selling meters and dashboards
  • Power quality specialists working on harmonics, capacitor banks and maximum demand
  • Green building and sustainability consultants who model energy use for rating systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for energy management and audit companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where last year's audits and projects came from, how enquiries were answered, what happened to reports after delivery and which tenders you saw late.

  2. 2

Show the method and the maths

Audit pages, a sample report and a savings sheet, so a buyer can judge the work without a visit and without anyone breaking a client's confidence.

  3. 3

    Map buyers and triggers

Target plants and buildings by sector and DISCOM, with the tariff changes, audit cycles and rating dates that start each buyer's search.

  4. 4

Follow up every enquiry and every report

Calls, WhatsApp messages and tender leads given an owner and a first reply, and each finished report followed by a debrief and a project proposal.

  5. 5

    Measure and keep what works

Site visits, audits signed, retrofits won and renewals kept, read against the baseline, with sources that produced nothing dropped.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

A list of units in an industrial area is for sale. Should we buy it?
We advise against it. Such lists carry closed units and old contacts, the people never agreed to hear from you, and data protection law places duties on how personal data is used, so ask your adviser. Build a smaller list from clients, referrals and meetings.
Should we send a newsletter or write one by one?
One by one to prospects, and short notes to clients when something affects them. A general newsletter to strangers adds little, because plant heads already get circulars from associations. Write when you have a reason tied to their sector or their bill.
Why does our report email land in spam?
Check the attachment first. Large files, spreadsheets and links to free file-sharing sites trigger filters. Send a short message with a link from your own domain, and read the DMARC reports to see what is being rejected.
Can we tell one client how a neighbouring plant compares?
No. One client's consumption data never goes to another without written permission, however friendly the two plants are. Offer an anonymised comparison across several plants, with nothing that identifies any of them.
Should we offer a free audit to win the work?
Only a narrow one, such as a review of a year of bills with a power factor and demand check. A free full audit trains buyers to expect free work, and the dealers already give that away. Let the small free step lead straight into a scoped, priced proposal.
Can we describe ourselves as BEE accredited?
Only if your status is current. Accreditation of energy auditors is run by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and its rules and list change, so check the official list and copy the wording exactly. Procurement teams do look it up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
