Banks · Copywriting

Write the loan brochure a customer actually reads to the end.

Copywriting for a bank means writing brochures, SMS, app notifications and branch signage in plain language a customer actually understands, rather than dense financial terminology copied from a policy document. GullySales writes this to be accurate first and persuasive second.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What copywriting means

Copywriting is the writing on your website, adverts and brochures that explains what you sell and asks the reader to act, in words a customer would actually use. GullySales writes this copy in plain language, cuts jargon, and rewrites weak pages so they explain the offer instead of describing the company.

For banks

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Plain language does not mean losing precision”

A brochure can explain a floating interest rate in a sentence a customer understands without dropping the specific terms that matter for accuracy and compliance.

  • “SMS and app notifications need to earn their interruption”

A notification about a fixed deposit maturing in a week is useful and welcome. A vague promotional SMS is often ignored or reported, so the copy needs a genuine reason to exist.

  • “Branch signage copy should answer a walk-in's first question”

Signage stating which counter handles a new account versus a loan enquiry saves a confused customer's time and reflects well on the branch before a word is spoken.

What we do

What we deliver for banks.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Plain-language product brochures

Brochures explaining terms such as a floating interest rate in language a customer understands, without dropping the specific detail that matters.

Result: A customer reads the brochure to the end and understands it.

  2. SMS and app notification copy

Wording for maturity reminders, document requests and fraud alerts, written to earn the interruption rather than being ignored or reported.

Result: A customer trusts and reads the bank's messages instead of muting them.

  3. Branch signage copy

Wording for counter and directional signage that answers a walk-in's first question, such as which counter handles a loan enquiry.

Result: A confused customer finds the right counter without asking.

  4. Compliance-ready copy drafts

Every draft built to move straight into your compliance review, with rate and term claims already checked against current product data.

Result: Copy reaches a customer only after it has been checked, not before.

How the result is measured

  • Pages rewritten
  • Conversion rate on rewritten pages
  • Enquiry form completions

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Checks for every brochure line

Read each brochure or notification line against these six checks before print.

Plain copy for a bank is copy a walk-in can act on. These checks are for the writer and the compliance reader to use together.

The first question answered first
Put the walk-in's first question, usually what documents are needed, in the opening lines. A customer who must hunt for it will ask the counter instead.
Terms explained once
Spell out terms such as EMI, processing fee and tenure the first time, in plain words, and say where each charge applies. Do not use a term the reader has never met.
Every figure with its source
Copy each figure from the current official product sheet and note which one. Add that rates change and the customer should confirm at the branch.
Statements your team requires
Include whatever terms and conditions your compliance team requires, in readable type, not hidden in a corner. Do not drop them to make the page look cleaner.
The notification test
An SMS or app message must say who sent it, what it is about and what to do next. Remove any line that exists only to create urgency.
Read it aloud at the counter
Give the draft to a counter officer and a customer, and ask each to explain it back. If the officer needs to explain it, rewrite the line.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the copywriting work runs

  1. 1

    Brief each page

We confirm the exact question or search each page needs to answer before writing begins.

  2. 2

    Draft in plain language

Copy is written to answer the visitor's actual question, avoiding jargon the reader would need to look up.

  3. 3

    Add a clear next step

Every page is checked to make sure it asks the visitor to do something specific before it ends.

  4. 4

    Review with your team

Drafts are checked for factual accuracy by someone who actually delivers the service being described.

  5. 5

    Publish and track

Finished copy is published, and enquiry rates on the page are tracked from that date.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does copy need compliance approval?
Yes, and we build every draft to go through your compliance review before anything reaches a customer.
Can the same copy work across regions?
Core messaging can, but local examples and, where relevant, regional-language versions usually perform better than a single national version.
Can we use words like instant or easy for a loan?
Use them only when the process truly is, and ask your compliance team first, since claims about speed and ease are often watched. Describing the real steps and the documents needed is safer and more useful than an adjective.
How do we test whether a brochure is understood?
Give the draft to a few counter staff and a few customers of the kind it is meant for, and ask them to explain it back in their own words. Rewrite wherever they hesitate. Do this before the printer, not after.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
