Gold loan and NBFC lenders · WhatsApp marketing

Remind the borrower about the due date without telling the whole family about the loan.

WhatsApp for a gold loan or NBFC lender carries due-date reminders, renewal offers, document lists and the branch's answers to questions. GullySales sets up the business account, the approved templates and the consent record, worded so a message on a shared phone does not give the borrower away.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For gold loan and NBFC lenders

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The phone belongs to the household”

A reminder naming the ornaments and the amount, read by a husband or a mother-in-law, can cost the borrower more than the interest. The message names the branch and the date and stops there.

  • “Fraudsters copy lender messages”

Borrowers receive fake messages asking them to pay interest to a personal UPI ID. A lender that never asks for payment that way, and tells borrowers so, takes the bait out of the trick.

  • “Branch staff answer from their own phones”

Borrowers keep the number of the appraiser who helped them. When that person leaves for a rival, the conversation and the next pledge leave too.

What we do

What we deliver for gold loan and NBFC lenders.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business account in the company's registered name

One official number, or one per region, with the registered name, the head office address and a branch locator link in the profile.

Result: Borrowers can tell the real lender from an imitation.

  2. Due-date and maturity reminder templates

Utility templates naming the branch, the date and the ways to pay or renew, with no amount and no ornament detail, approved by compliance.

Result: The reminder reaches the borrower and nobody else learns the details.

  3. A consent line on the pledge form

A tick box and a date on the loan application where the borrower agrees to reminders on WhatsApp, with the number written beside it.

Result: Every message traces back to a borrower who agreed.

  4. Saved replies for the questions branches hear

Branch timings, documents to carry, how a scheme works and how to make a part payment, in each regional language your branches use.

Result: Every branch gives the same correct answer.

  5. An anti-fraud note at pledge time

A standing message stating the only number you message from and that you never ask for payment into a personal account or by UPI to a person.

Result: Borrowers report a fake message instead of paying it.

  6. Replies routed to the borrower's branch

Incoming messages assigned to the right branch in counter hours, with a holding reply and a named person outside them.

Result: A borrower's question reaches someone who can see the loan.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a gold loan lender settles before sending its first WhatsApp reminder.

Rules for lenders on customer communication, recovery and data differ by licence and change, so have your compliance officer approve the wording first.

Opt-in recorded at the counter
Add a consent line to the pledge or loan form with the WhatsApp number and the date. A borrower who only rang to ask the rate has agreed to nothing.
A business profile borrowers can trust
Company name as registered, head office address, website and a branch locator link. Tell borrowers in person that this is the only number you message from.
Templates for reminders and renewals
Write the due-date, maturity and renewal messages as templates, with no amounts, ornament details or threats. Submit them for approval and file the approved wording.
Who pays for each message
Messages a business starts are charged by category, and the terms change. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before planning reminders across all branches.
A way to stop
Every message says how to stop and gives another way to reach the branch. Mark the opt-out in the loan record so no branch messages that borrower again.
A person behind the number
Route replies to the borrower's branch during counter hours. A borrower asking whether the gold is safe needs a person, not an auto-reply.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is the WhatsApp Business app enough, or do we need the API?
The app suits a single branch with a manageable number of borrowers. A network sending reminders from one number needs the API through a provider, with templates approved by WhatsApp. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before choosing.
Can we add borrowers to a WhatsApp group for offers?
No. A group shows every member's number to the rest, which tells the whole village who has a gold loan. Use one-to-one messages to borrowers who agreed, and keep offers rare.
Our branch staff already chat with borrowers on their own phones. What now?
Move each conversation to the branch or company number when the borrower next visits, and explain why. Ask staff to stop collecting documents or payment details on a personal phone. The branch number stays when people move on.
Should our schemes go in the WhatsApp catalogue?
Only if each item shows the scheme in plain words with the conditions compliance requires. A catalogue card with a headline rate and nothing else is an advertisement missing its terms. A link to the scheme page is the safer choice.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
