Genetic testing laboratories · Healthcare

Be the lab that obstetricians and oncologists trust with a result a family will act on.

An obstetrician has a couple across the desk whose first baby had a metabolic disorder. A carrier test is needed, from a lab whose report can be explained to the couple and whose counsellor will take their call. Price is not the deciding factor. What counts is whether the lab has ever picked up the phone for that obstetrician.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

A genetic testing laboratory reads a person's DNA to look for inherited conditions, carrier status, cancer risk or how a drug may act. Marketing makes the lab known to the obstetricians, oncologists, paediatricians and genetic counsellors who order tests, and to families who search. Sales is the order, the sample and the counselling that follows. GullySales prepares the ordering sheet, the test pages and the consent-aware enquiry record.

Genetic tests are bought once, with worry attached. A family weighs a panel against what it might reveal, and the doctor weighs the lab against what can be defended if the result surprises. So the pages that matter say what a test can and cannot show, and who will call the family afterwards, before they say what it costs.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

How buyers decide

How genetic testing laboratories are chosen.

Most orders come through a doctor. An obstetrician orders carrier screening or a prenatal test, an oncologist orders a tumour or hereditary cancer panel, a paediatrician orders a test for a child with delays. The doctor shortlists labs on report clarity, how the sample must be collected and shipped, the counselling support, and whether the lab answers questions about variants of uncertain meaning.

Some families come on their own, through a search on a condition or a relative's diagnosis, and the lab or a partner clinic then routes them to a doctor or counsellor. A page that is honest about limits earns more trust than one that promises certainty. Rules on genetic testing, consent and data differ by state and body and change, so check with your own adviser.

After the first order, repeat business depends on how the lab handles the awkward cases: a delayed sample, a result needing confirmation, a family with questions. A hospital or fertility centre weighing a standing arrangement will want your accreditation papers and a clear account of how sample and patient data are handled before anyone signs.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for genetic testing laboratories.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Doctors send samples to the big national name”

A regional lab with a good panel is never on the shortlist because the doctor has never spoken to anyone there.

  • “Our website lists tests in a language only geneticists read”

A couple or a young doctor cannot tell which panel fits their situation, so they ring and the team repeats the same explanation daily.

  • “Enquiries die at the sample collection step”

The family does not know where to go, who draws the blood or how the kit travels, and they quietly give up.

  • “Counselling is promised and then slips”

The report is sent and the counsellor call happens late or not at all, which is when families lose trust and doctors stop ordering.

  • “We are afraid to market because the topic is sensitive”

The team worries about consent, privacy and overclaiming, so nothing is written and the lab stays invisible.

  • “Fertility centres and hospitals negotiate and then stall”

A standing arrangement needs several people to agree, and nobody on our side tracks who is waiting for what.

What we do

What we do for genetic testing laboratories.

Everything included for genetic testing laboratories.

  1. Test pages written for the person ordering

One page per test family, saying who it is for, what the sample is, what the report shows, what it cannot show and who explains it. Clinical wording is checked by your lab director.

  2. A doctor's ordering sheet

A two-page note covering the panels, the sample type, the collection and shipping steps, and who to call. Sent to obstetricians, oncologists and paediatricians.

  3. A consent-aware enquiry routine

Every enquiry recorded with its source, the contact details the family chose to share and a callback rule. Nothing about a test result is held in marketing records.

  4. A counsellor-call follow-up path

A checklist that puts the counsellor call next to each issued report, and a note telling the ordering doctor that the family has been contacted.

  5. A hospital and fertility centre pack

A capability note for IVF centres and hospitals covering accreditation you hold, report timing as you state it, data handling and a named contact. Facts are supplied by you.

  6. Educational content on genetic conditions

Plain articles on carrier screening, hereditary cancer and testing a child, reviewed by your clinicians, with no claims of cure or certainty.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries that stopped before sample collection, and the step where they stopped
  • Orders received against family enquiries, by test family
  • Obstetricians, oncologists and paediatricians ordering for the first time
  • Repeat orders by ordering doctor
  • Counsellor calls completed against reports issued
  • IVF centres and hospitals in discussion against signed

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what genetic testing laboratories most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Couples planning a baby

Search ads and content for carrier screening queries, leading to a page that explains what a carrier test says and routes to a doctor or counsellor. No prenatal test and nothing on the sex of a baby appears in the ads.

  • Obstetrician introduction programme

Visits and messages to obstetricians and fertility specialists with the ordering sheet and a sample report layout.

  • Oncologist panel outreach

A set of notes for medical oncologists and surgeons on hereditary cancer panels and tumour testing, with a named scientist to contact.

  • IVF centre partnership drive

A planned approach to fertility centres in your region, led by the hospital pack and a meeting with the clinical head.

  • Family history awareness

Plain social posts and WhatsApp messages on when a family history of cancer or inherited conditions is worth raising with a doctor. No diagnosis, no fear.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of genetic testing laboratories, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Obstetricians and gynaecologists

A list by city and hospital, with an ordering sheet written for prenatal and carrier testing.

  • Medical oncologists and surgeons

Notes on hereditary cancer panels and tumour testing, built around what the report states and who explains it to the patient.

  • Paediatricians and neurologists

A note for doctors who see children with developmental delay or seizures, on which of your tests apply and what sample is needed.

  • IVF and fertility centres

The hospital pack, and a one-page meeting brief for each centre's lab head.

  • Genetic counsellors

Independent counsellors advise families on which lab to use, so they get an introduction that sets out your counselling support and sample steps.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for genetic testing laboratories

  1. 1

List the tests, papers and sample rules

We ask for the tests offered, the accreditation papers, the sample rules, who counsels and which doctors already order from you.

  2. 2

    Set the rules

A short list of what may be said publicly, what a clinician must review first, and what stays out of a marketing record.

  3. 3

    Build pages and sheets

Test pages, the ordering sheet and the hospital pack take shape, each marked for your lab director's review.

  4. 4

    Reach the orderers

Obstetricians, oncologists and paediatricians hear from you directly, while families searching a condition find the test pages.

  5. 5

Trace each order to its first contact

For each order, note the doctor, page or partner it came from, and the step where an enquiry stopped before the sample was drawn.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

FAQ

Questions genetic testing laboratories ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can a genetic lab advertise to the public?
In careful educational terms, yes. Rules on genetic testing, consent and advertising differ by state and body and change, so check with your own adviser. We make no claims of certainty or cure.
Do you handle patient data or reports?
No. Reports and results stay in your systems. We work from enquiry counts and the contact details people choose to share, with their consent.
How is this different from a general pathology lab?
The buyer is a specialist who needs a report that can be explained across a desk, and the family needs counselling. The pages therefore carry the limits of each test and the name of who explains it, and say little about price.
Can you get us hospital contracts?
We prepare the pack and a sheet that records each conversation. Whether a hospital signs is its own decision.
Can prenatal tests be described on a public page?
Only in general terms, as screening a doctor orders, and never with wording on the sex of the baby. Prenatal diagnostic tests fall under the PCPNDT Act, which also governs whether the lab needs registration under it, so keep them off ads. Laws on consent differ by state and body, so your own adviser should approve that wording, and your lab director reviews every clinical line before it goes live.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
