Dermatology clinics · Local SEO
Rank in the map result across the localities your patients travel from.
Local SEO for a dermatology clinic decides whether you appear when somebody nearby searches for a skin doctor or a named treatment. It covers the catchment, each branch, the days a consultant actually sits there, and the reviews that move a map ranking. GullySales works the listings and the locality pages behind them.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means
Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.
Last updated 8 Nov 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.
For dermatology clinics
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“The consultant sits there on two days, and the listing has to say which”
A patient who crosses the city for a hair fall consultation and finds the dermatologist is at the other branch writes a review about it. That review then sits in the map result the next patient reads.
“A course of sittings is booked near work, not near home”
Six sittings of laser hair removal go to the clinic two metro stops from the office. Your catchment follows the commute, so the localities worth their own page are often the ones along that line rather than the ones nearest your pin.
“Reviews move the map ranking, and what you may ask for is limited”
You can invite a patient to describe their visit. Medical advertising rules restrict how treatment results and patient testimonials are used, they differ and they change, and it is the doctor's registration at stake, so the wording gets checked before it goes out.
What we do
What we deliver for dermatology clinics.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A verified listing per branch, with the doctors who sit there
Each branch listed with its own address, phone number, dermatologists and the days each one consults, rather than one listing standing in for the group.
Result: A patient books the branch where the doctor will actually be.
Hours set per branch, festival closures included
Opening hours matched to the consulting days, the late evening slot and the days the clinic shuts, corrected on every listing you hold.
Result: Nobody travels across town and finds a shutter.
Locality pages for the areas patients start from
Pages naming the localities along the routes patients travel, each pointing to the branch and dermatologist who serve that side of the city.
Result: You appear for areas your clinic does not sit in but already serves.
Directory entries reconciled with the profile
Your details on Practo, Justdial and the smaller health listings checked against the Business Profile, with the number from the old premises removed.
Result: Search engines stop seeing two clinics where there is one.
A review request the doctor is willing to sign off
Wording that invites the patient to describe the visit without scripting a claim about their result, checked against what applies to your registration before the front desk starts using it.
Result: Recent reviews keep arriving without a compliance argument.
Map position measured from across the catchment
Where you rank for the treatment plus each locality, checked from several points in the area you serve and compared with the position recorded before work started.
Result: You can see the localities where you do not show up at all.
How the result is measured
- Map pack ranking
- Local search visibility
- Enquiries by locality
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What Google weighs here
How a patient nearby finds a skin doctor, and what to fix first.
- Dermatologist, not skin spa
- Set Dermatologist as the main category. Add Skin care clinic for aesthetic work that is run by a doctor. Do not use beauty salon or spa, which confuses searchers and makes a medical clinic look like a parlour.
- Concerns as services
- List acne, hair fall, pigmentation and fungal infections in the patient's words. Describe what a visit involves and make no outcome claim. Keep any laser or aesthetic treatment on its own line.
- Evenings and the consultant's days
- Many patients search after work. Show the evening sitting, and say in the description which consultant sits at which branch and on which days. A patient who travels for the wrong day will not return.
- Practo, Lybrate and Justdial
- Claim Practo and Lybrate for doctor-led searches and Justdial for walk-ins. Check the doctor's name, registration number and branch address on each, and correct entries where one doctor appears at a branch they have left.
- Registration and titles
- Write each doctor's name and qualification as on the medical council registration. Advertising rules for doctors differ by state and body and change, so check with your own council before using any wording.
- Reviews the doctor has signed off
- Have the doctor approve the request and the reply text. Do not offer anything in return for a review. Never confirm a reviewer's diagnosis or treatment in a reply, and say nothing about their skin.

Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- The consultant's hours change from day to day and nobody updates the listing, so the map would show the wrong times
- Your branches have not agreed which doctors and concerns each one offers, so patients would be sent to a site without the treatment
- You would list the clinic under a spa or beauty label, and a medical patient would not trust it
How it works
How the local SEO work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Write down what is true
Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.
- 2
Search as your buyer does
We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.
- 3
Fix the profile first
Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.
- 4
Build the branch pages and match the listings
Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.
- 5
Ask, reply and measure
We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
