Veterinary clinics · Search engine optimisation

Rank for emergency vet near me before the anxious search ends elsewhere.

SEO for a veterinary clinic is the work of ranking for local searches, such as vet near me or a specific treatment plus the locality. Most of this ranking happens through the Business Profile and a website that matches it. GullySales builds this and reports the calls and appointments it brings.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For veterinary clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The Maps result matters more than website design here”

For a veterinary clinic, the Maps listings above the search results take most of the clicks, so accurate hours, photographs and reviews on the profile matter enormously.

  • “Emergency and after-hours pages need their own visibility”

A clinic offering after-hours care should have a clear, separate page and profile detail for it, since that search happens under real urgency.

  • “Species and treatment pages capture narrower, high-intent searches”

A dedicated page on exotic pet care or a specific surgery ranks for exactly the search an owner with that need is running.

What we do

What we deliver for veterinary clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile completed for every service

Every field on the profile filled in accurately, including hours, species treated and photographs, since Maps listings take most of the clicks for this search.

Result: An owner scanning Maps results finds accurate, complete information immediately.

  2. A dedicated page for emergency and after-hours care

A separate page and matching profile detail for after-hours or emergency care, built for the urgency that search happens under.

Result: An owner searching in a crisis finds a page written for exactly that moment.

  3. Species and treatment pages for narrower searches

Dedicated pages on exotic pet care or a specific surgery, ranking for the exact search an owner with that particular need is running.

Result: An owner with an uncommon need finds a clinic that clearly serves it.

  4. Local citation and listing clean-up

The clinic's name, address and phone number checked and corrected across directories, supporting the Maps ranking the search largely depends on.

Result: Search engines stop reading the clinic as several different businesses.

  5. Ranking and call report by page

A report on search position and calls for the profile, the emergency page and priority treatment pages, against the baseline.

Result: You can see which page is actually earning its place in Maps.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a pet owner types when an animal is unwell, and the page that answers it.

vet open now near me
A page and a Maps listing that agree on hours. State opening times by day, how a client reaches the clinic outside them, and whether a vet is on the premises or on call.
emergency vet 24 hours near me
An emergency page. Say what cases you can treat at night, what to do on the way, such as keeping the animal still and calling ahead, and when you refer to a larger hospital.
puppy vaccination schedule
A puppy page. Explain what a vaccination visit includes, the ages at which visits are usually advised by the vet, and invite the owner to bring the card, without giving medical advice.
cat sterilisation near me
A procedure page. Describe what the owner is told before, what to do with food the night before, and how recovery is checked, using the clinic's own routine.
vet for rabbit or exotic bird
A species page. Say which exotic animals you see, which vet handles them, and which you refer, so an owner with a bird or rabbit does not lose a trip.
home visit vet for dog
A home visit page. Name the areas you visit, what can be done at home and what needs the clinic, and how an owner books and prepares.

Who it is for

This is written for these veterinary clinics.

  • Small animal clinics
  • Multi-vet veterinary hospitals
  • Mobile and home-visit vet services
  • Exotic and avian veterinary practices
  • Farm and large animal veterinary services
  • Pet grooming and wellness clinics with vet services
  • 24-hour emergency veterinary hospitals
  • Veterinary diagnostic and referral centres

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • No vet is willing to approve the wording on emergency and treatment pages, so search pages would have to wait.
  • Hours and the after-hours arrangement are not settled, and a page that ranks with the wrong night number does more harm than no page.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How long does SEO take for a vet clinic?
There is no fixed timeline, since Google's own timing is not something anyone controls. Fixing the Business Profile is usually the quicker change, and we set expectations for the rest in the first conversation.
Should we focus on SEO or ads first?
Most clinics benefit from fixing the profile and basic SEO first, since it costs nothing in media and the searches are already happening.
Can we write about symptoms to bring in searches?
Yes, if the page says what the owner can notice and that a vet must examine the animal. Do not give a diagnosis or home treatment on the page. A clear line about when to come in at once is the most useful part.
Should every vet in the clinic have a profile page?
Yes. Owners search for a species or a procedure and want to know who will treat their pet. Show qualification, registration with the state veterinary council, interests and the days each vet is in. Keep it current as the team changes.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
