Plumbing contractors · Buyer persona

Know who signs the plumbing BOQ and who only calls when water is on the floor.

A buyer persona for a plumbing contractor is a written picture of each person who hires you, from the MEP consultant to the flat owner with a wet ceiling. GullySales builds those pictures from your own jobs and enquiries, so your calls, quotes and pages speak to the right person.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For plumbing contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The tower buyer is three people, not one”

A plumbing package for a tower is shaped by the MEP consultant, priced against the builder's purchase team and checked by the site engineer. Each reads your quote for a different fear: a missed drawing, a rate overrun, a leak after handover. One brochure answers none of them.

  • “The designer buys on finish, not on pipe”

An interior designer hiring for a bathroom cares whether concealed fittings go in without a cracked tile and whether the wall is closed on time for the tiler. A persona for this buyer lists those worries first and the rate last.

  • “The leak caller is deciding in a hurry and in fear”

A flat owner with water coming through the ceiling wants someone who picks up, names the likely fault and arrives. They are also afraid of being told the whole bathroom must be broken. The persona records the words they use on the phone.

  • “The association committee changes every year”

A maintenance contract is judged by a treasurer who wants the lowest rate and a secretary who wants fewer complaints. Both will change. The persona keeps what the building needs, so a new committee reads your service history before the price.

What we do

What we deliver for plumbing contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona sheets from your own jobs

One page for each buyer type, written from the enquiries, quotes and complaints in your records, with the words each buyer actually used.

Result: You can hand a new estimator the sheet and they know who they are talking to.

  2. Decision map for a tower package

A plain chart of who in the builder's and consultant's teams shortlists, prices and approves plumbing work, and what each asks to see.

Result: Your outreach names the right person on the right project.

  3. Questions each persona asks first

A list of the first three questions per buyer, with the answer you give on the phone and the page that backs it up.

Result: Calls open with the answer the buyer was waiting for.

  4. Fears and proof matched side by side

For each persona, the worry that stops the hire and the proof that settles it, such as a pressure-test record or a photographed diagnosis.

Result: Every quote carries the proof its reader needs.

  5. Persona tags on the enquiry log

A field on your enquiry record marking which buyer type each lead is, so quotes and follow-ups are written for them.

Result: You can see which buyer type brings the work you want.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We only know two types of customer. Is that enough?
Two is a start. Look through last year's jobs and you will find more: the repeat designer, the facility manager, the builder's site engineer. Each behaves differently, so each gets a short sheet of its own.
Do we need research or surveys for this?
No. Your phone log, quotations, lost-job notes and site visits already hold the evidence. GullySales reads those, and where a gap remains we ask you a few direct questions rather than run a survey.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
