Tree service companies · Local SEO

Rank in the towns with the big oaks, not only around your yard.

Local SEO for a tree service is whether you appear in the map results when a homeowner in a particular town searches on a phone. GullySales sets the profile up as a service area business, gets the crane photographs onto it, and writes the town pages those results sit on.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For tree service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your yard is in the wrong town for your best work”

Map results follow the pin, and the mature oaks stand in older neighbourhoods twenty minutes away where you have no address at all.

  • “A service area business hides the address on purpose”

Homeowners never visit a tree company, and a half-finished listing showing a yard on an industrial road reads as the wrong kind of business.

  • “Photographs of the equipment answer the real question”

A listing with a bucket truck over a roof and a stump grinder at work tells a homeowner you own the gear, which is what sits behind the bid.

What we do

What we deliver for tree service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The profile set up as a service area business

Ownership confirmed, the address hidden, the towns you actually drive to listed, and the categories set to tree work rather than general contracting.

Result: You appear in the towns you serve.

  2. Services and equipment listed on the profile

Removal, trimming, stump grinding, emergency response and plant health care added as services, with the crane and bucket truck named where a homeowner reads.

Result: The whole job list is visible before anyone calls.

  3. Photographs refreshed from real jobs

Crane picks, climbers, grinders and cleared yards uploaded from the crews' own phones, replacing a set of stock images from three years ago.

Result: The listing looks like a working company.

  4. A page on your site for every town you serve

Each town given a page naming its neighbourhoods, the species common there and a job you have done, instead of a list of towns in the footer.

Result: The map result has something to sit on.

  5. A review reply that names the job and the town

Every review answered from the office with a line about the work and where it was, which is the part of the page the next searcher reads.

Result: Your profile reads as local work across your whole area.

  6. Profile calls and direction requests reported

What the listing produced, broken out by town and read against the baseline taken before anything on it was changed.

Result: You can see which town deserves a page of its own.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a household with a dangerous or overgrown tree finds a tree service nearby, and what to fix first.

Primary category
Choose Tree service as the primary. Add Landscaper or Garden service only for work you take. A crew that also clears dead branches after rain can add that to the services, not to the category.
Service area, hidden address
If customers do not visit the yard, list as a service area business and hide the address. Add the towns and the roads you work in, and keep the yard's location to the equipment photographs.
Jobs named as customers say them
List tree felling, pruning, dead branch removal, coconut and palm trimming, stump removal and chipping as services. A homeowner with a leaning tree wants a line that names the problem.
Permission for felling
In many cities felling needs the local tree officer's permission. Say so on the profile and say whether you help apply. A customer who learns this after the quote tends to blame the contractor.
Safety and equipment photographs
Show harnesses, ropes, the chipper and the crew working with protective gear. A homeowner judging safety wants to see a crew that looks like it knows how to bring a tree down.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We work in nine towns. Do we need nine listings?
No, one listing with a service area covering them. Extra listings for towns where you hold no address get suspended, and the reviews go with them. Cover those towns with pages on your own site instead.
Why are we below a company with fewer reviews?
Distance from the person searching is doing most of it, and there is no moving your yard. Categories, services, photographs and a page for that town are the parts you can change. Ask the customers you do win there for a review.
Can we use emergency or 24 hours on the profile?
Only if somebody picks up and a crew can go out at night. The hours and the description should match what happens when the phone rings. Otherwise say that emergency calls are taken in the day and give the cut-off time.
Which photographs help most, trees coming down or the cleared site?
Both, in different places. Show the cleared and tidy site as the result, and the crew with equipment working as the proof of safety. Leave out photographs near power lines or crowds, and never post a house number or a neighbour's face.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
