Tree service companies · Reputation management

The review is about the ruts in the lawn, not about the tree.

Reputation management for a tree service is what a homeowner writes once the chipper has left, and what gets said in a neighbourhood thread you cannot answer as a business. GullySales builds the review ask into the final walk-through and prepares replies to the complaints this trade always gets.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For tree service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Nobody reviews the cut, they review the clean-up”

Sawdust in the flower beds, a rut from the bucket truck and a gate left open are what a homeowner remembers, because nobody can judge the rigging.

  • “A neighbourhood thread is a review you cannot reply to”

Somebody asks who to call about a leaning pine, another names your crew, and a third brings up a cracked driveway from two years ago.

  • “Storm work brings one stars from people who never hired you”

A homeowner told there is a four-day wait, or quoted a price they did not like, leaves a review about a job you did not do.

What we do

What we deliver for tree service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The review ask made at the final walk-through

The foreman walks the yard with the homeowner while the blower is still running, and the office sends the link the same afternoon.

Result: Reviews come from the jobs that went well.

  2. Lawn and property protection written into the estimate

Plywood on the drive, where the truck parks and what happens if a rut is left, all settled before the crew arrives rather than argued about after.

Result: The complaint behind most one stars stops happening.

  3. Wording ready for the four complaints this trade gets

Answers drafted in advance for lawn damage, a storm-week wait, a price set against a cheaper bid, and a stump ground shallower than expected.

Result: The answer goes up the same week, in your words.

  4. Neighbourhood groups watched, and answered as a person

Alerts on the local groups in your towns, with wording for the owner and a standing ask to happy customers to answer recommendation posts.

Result: Your name turns up where neighbours are deciding.

  5. Every profile a homeowner checks kept matching

The same hours, service area, insurance statement and photographs across the map listing, the review sites and the directories you are already on.

Result: Somebody comparing profiles finds one company, not three.

  6. What each complaint was really about, recorded

New reviews, the rating and the job behind each one, read against the baseline so the pattern reaches the crew rather than the office wall.

Result: A repeated clean-up problem gets fixed on the truck.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

How to answer each kind of review a tree service gets.

Praise after the job
Thank the homeowner and name the job, such as a removal or a crown reduction. Ask for a photograph of the cleared yard and post it only with permission.
Lawn, fence or roof damage
Apologise and offer to inspect. Check that the estimate listed how the lawn and fence are protected, and that your crew photographed the property before the work began.
Debris or wood chips left
Reply that the clean-up is part of the job, and send someone back. Check that the foreman walks the site with the owner before the crew leaves.
Neighbour complaining about noise or the road
Reply in the group as a person, and ask them to call. Check that you told the neighbours the day and that parking and road use were arranged before work.
A cheaper uninsured quote
Reply with what your price includes: insurance, trained climbers and clean-up. Check that every estimate shows your insurance cover, so the owner compares like with like.
Stump or extra work not done
Say what the estimate included. Stump grinding is often a separate line. Check that the estimate says, in plain words, what is left behind when the tree comes down.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the reputation management work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current perception

We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.

  2. 2

    Audit existing mentions

We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.

  3. 3

    Plan responses

A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.

  4. 4

    Implement monitoring

Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.

  5. 5

    Measure and report

Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Somebody left one star because we could not get there after a storm. Can it be removed?
Only if the platform agrees it breaks its own rules, and most of the time it will not. Reply calmly, say what the wait was and what you would change, then let the next reader judge. Steady new reviews do more than one deletion.
Should we ask every customer for a review?
Ask the ones who walked the yard with the foreman and said they were happy. Chasing everybody brings in the middling three stars alongside the good ones. Ten recent reviews from clean jobs outweigh forty old ones.
A neighbour who is not our customer posted about damage to a shared fence. What do we do?
Reply and offer to look at the fence with the neighbour and your customer. Take photographs from before the job if you have them. Do not say it was or was not you until you have looked. Repair what is yours.
A customer says we cut more than we agreed. How do we answer?
Check the estimate and the photographs. If your crew cut more, apologise and say what you will do. If the estimate was vague, accept that. Inside, mark the branches to be cut with the owner before the saw starts.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
