Home and office automation · Reputation management

Protect the referral relationship a bad after-sales experience could cost you.

Reputation management for home and office automation means responding quickly to service issues after installation, since a single unresolved complaint can end an architect's willingness to keep referring you. GullySales builds review collection and complaint response into your after-sales process.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For home and office automation

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “After-sales service protects the referral, not just the review”

An architect who referred a client will hear about a slow response to a system fault, and that matters more to future referrals than a public review does.

  • “Reviews should reflect the whole project, not just the sale”

A review collected right after installation misses how well the system performs and how issues are handled months later, so timing the ask matters.

  • “A calm, documented response to a complaint reassures the referring architect too”

Showing an architect how a fault was resolved professionally can protect the relationship even after something went wrong.

What we do

What we deliver for home and office automation.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. After-sales complaint response routine

A quick, documented process for responding to a service issue after installation, before it reaches the referring architect informally.

Result: An architect sees a problem handled well, not left to fester.

  2. Review request timed after real use

A review ask sent some weeks after installation, once the system has been used daily, rather than immediately at handover.

Result: The review reflects how the system actually performs.

  3. Architect relationship recovery process

A specific way to address the service gap behind a complaint and follow up directly with the referring architect once it is fixed.

Result: A referral relationship survives a problem instead of quietly ending.

  4. Review and complaint monitoring

A regular check across review platforms for mentions of service issues, so nothing sits unnoticed.

Result: A problem gets addressed before it shapes a new buyer's impression.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

How to answer each kind of review an automation integrator gets.

Praise from a homeowner or an architect
Thank them and say what kind of work it was, such as lighting scenes or a boardroom system. Ask whether the architect will mention the brief, since it helps the next architect compare.
A complaint that the system is hard to use
Offer a visit to walk through the app, scenes and wall switches. Reply that you will send a short handover video. Check whether the handover covered every family member who uses it.
Devices going offline after a power cut or router change
Check the network design and what happens when power returns. Reply with how the system recovers, and offer to visit. Note the router and backup power in the handover sheet.
A complaint about delay or coordination on site
Check the site schedule against the electrician's and interior contractor's work. Reply with what depended on others and what was yours. Agree one site coordinator at the start.
A complaint that a feature was not delivered
Compare the signed quotation with what was installed. Reply with what was in scope, and offer to go through it. List every feature and brand on the quotation, not only the room names.
A missed AMC or service visit
Check the AMC register and the date in the contract. Apologise, give the next visit date after you have spoken to them, and track renewal dates in one sheet.

Who it is for

This is written for these home and office automation.

  • Residential smart-home integrators
  • Office and boardroom automation specialists
  • Villa and apartment builder tie-up specialists
  • Security and CCTV integration specialists
  • Home theatre and AV specialists
  • Motorised curtain and gate automation specialists

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have never asked a client for a review at handover, so there is nothing yet to protect beyond a bare listing.
  • A client's system is down and nobody has been to fix it, and a public reply would only make the silence plain.
  • You plan to show a client's house or address in a reply, which exposes their security.

How it works

How the reputation management work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Search your name as a stranger would

We search the business, its main product names and the owner's name, on a phone and a laptop, and record what appears.

  2. 2

    Catalogue every mention

Reviews, news, listings, social posts and forum threads are sorted into accurate and positive, accurate and negative, and wrong. Each group gets a different action.

  3. 3

Agree the replies and the owner of each

Replies are drafted and approved by you. Anything involving a refund, a clinical matter, a legal claim or a named employee goes to the right person in your business before anything is posted.

  4. 4

    Fix what you control

Listings, profile details and your own pages are corrected, and pages worth ranking for your name are strengthened with accurate information.

  5. 5

    Monitor and report

The agreed places are checked on the agreed schedule. The name search is repeated and compared with the first record.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

When should we ask for a review?
A few weeks after installation, once the system has been used daily, rather than immediately at handover when problems have not yet had time to show.
What if an architect stops referring us after an issue?
We help you address the underlying service gap directly and follow up with the architect once it is fixed, rather than only chasing new referral sources.
A client says the app stopped working after a phone update. Is it our fault?
It may be the app maker's, not yours, but the client sees your name. Reply that you will look at it, check the brand's current support notes, and fix what you can. Ask the brand about the issue. Tell clients which brand apps you support.
Can we show a client's house video or address in a reply?
Not without their written consent, and not in a review thread. A home's layout and address are private. Keep the reply in words, and use project videos only when the client has agreed in writing, with the address left out.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
