Domestic tour operators · Local SEO

Let families in your city find your office, your reviews and your phone number first.

Local SEO for a tour operator means making your office and your name appear when someone in your city searches for a travel agent or a trip near them. GullySales works on the Google Business Profile, the reviews and the city wording on your pages.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For domestic tour operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Families still want to know the office is real”

A booking involves a deposit paid to a stranger. A visible address, a map pin, photographs of the office and a phone that is answered tell the family that someone is accountable. A profile with none of these loses the family to an operator who shows them.

  • “Reviews are read as trip evidence”

A traveller reading reviews wants to know about the driver, the hotel quality and what happened when the weather turned. A review that names the trip and the road is worth more than a line of praise. Ask for it while the trip is fresh.

  • “Your profile may list the wrong services”

A travel agent profile that lists only tickets and visas misses the buyer searching for tour packages. Categories, services, photographs and posts should describe the trips you actually sell and the cities you pick guests up from.

  • “Pickup points are a local search in disguise”

People ask whether you pick up from their area. Naming the pickup points on your pages and profile answers that before they message, and matches searches that include a locality, such as a trip with pickup from Whitefield.

What we do

What we deliver for domestic tour operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile set-up and clean-up

Name, address, hours, services, photographs and links reviewed against how you really operate.

Result: The profile describes the business you run and links to your trip pages.

  2. A review request routine

A message sent to each guest at the end of a trip, with a link and a prompt to name the trip.

Result: Reviews arrive with the trip and destination in the guest's own words.

  3. Reply wording for reviews

Short replies for praise and for complaints, written in the voice of the owner.

Result: Every review has a reply that a future traveller can read.

  4. Locality wording on trip pages

Pickup points, city names and the areas you serve placed where a searcher would look for them.

Result: A page matches a search that names the neighbourhood.

  5. Profile posts for open departures

A post for each departure with seats left, with the date and a link to the trip page.

Result: Your profile shows current trips and not a stale announcement.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need a shopfront for local search?
A profile can be set up for a business that serves customers at a location or visits them, but the rules for showing an address are set by the platform. Check the platform's current rules before you decide what to publish.
What do we do about a bad review?
Reply politely, state what you know, and offer to speak by phone. Do not argue in public. A calm reply on a hard review tells the next reader how you behave when a trip goes wrong.
Should every guest be asked for a review?
Ask every guest who travelled with you, and do not offer payment or gifts for a review. Check the platform's current rules on asking for reviews.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
