Domestic tour operators · Social media

Turn reels and posts into enquiries that carry dates and a headcount.

Social media marketing for a domestic tour operator means showing trips as they run, so a viewer can picture the group, the road and the stay. GullySales works on the content plan, the link from post to enquiry and the reply routine behind it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For domestic tour operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A destination reel is not proof that you run it well”

Drone shots of Spiti look the same from every operator. What separates you is the trip lead talking on the road, the actual rooms, the group laughing at the dhaba. Footage from your own departures answers the question a traveller is quietly asking.

  • “Comments and DMs are the first enquiry”

A viewer asks "price?" under a reel. That is a lead with no details. A pinned reply that explains how to ask, with the three questions you need, moves the conversation to WhatsApp with the information already attached.

  • “Posting without a departure date wastes the reach”

A Kerala post with no date, no seats status and no link sends the viewer nowhere. Each post should tie to a departure or a trip page, even a simple line saying which dates are open.

  • “Past guests post for you if you plan for it”

Travellers photograph everything. A tagged group photo at the viewpoint is better than any advert, if you have asked permission and given them a handle to tag. Plan for it at the last dinner and not after.

What we do

What we deliver for domestic tour operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A content calendar around departures

Posts planned against the departures that need seats and the seasons that are coming.

Result: Each week's posts point at a trip that is actually open.

  2. A reel format for your own trips

A repeatable structure: the road, the stay, the group, the cost lines and the ask.

Result: Your team shoots the same shots on each departure.

  3. Pinned reply and DM script

A standard answer for "price" that asks for dates, people and car or seat.

Result: Comments turn into WhatsApp chats with usable details.

  4. A permission and tagging routine for guests

A short consent line on the booking form and a request to tag the account.

Result: You hold permission to reuse guest photographs.

  5. Profile and highlight set-up

Pinned posts, highlights by destination and a link that leads to your trip pages.

Result: A new visitor finds trips by destination without scrolling.

  6. A simple reading of what worked

Which posts brought saves, messages and enquiries, recorded against the trip.

Result: You see which posts sent enquiries, not only views.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should a tour operator focus on?
Start where your travellers already watch, which for Indian leisure trips is Instagram and YouTube. Pick one and do it with discipline before adding another. Your own enquiry log will show where the enquiries came from.
Do we need a person to make the videos?
Not necessarily. A trip lead with a phone can capture good material if they know what to shoot. We set up the shot list and you edit or hand off the editing.
Should we use influencers?
An influencer suits a departure with seats to fill and a clear audience match. Agree what is delivered and how enquiries will be tracked in writing. Check the platform's current rules on disclosing paid partnerships.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
