Domestic tour operators · WhatsApp marketing

Run quotes, departures and guest updates on the app your travellers already use.

WhatsApp marketing for a tour operator means using the Business app or platform to answer enquiries, send quotes and keep travellers informed. GullySales works on the profile, the reply routine, the catalogue of trips and the broadcast rules.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For domestic tour operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The first reply is the sale”

A family sends the same message to several operators. The one that replies with a clear question set and a tidy quote gets the next message. A slow or messy reply is compared against it. Set who answers and when.

  • “A broadcast to everyone annoys the wrong people”

A message about a Ladakh departure sent to a family that travelled to Kerala with children is noise. Group contacts by the trips they took and asked about, and send only what fits. Respect anyone who asks to stop.

  • “Quotes sent as a long paragraph get lost”

A price buried in a chat disappears after a day. A quote sent as a clean, named-line document, with a short summary above it, can be found again and forwarded to the family group.

  • “Trip-day messages protect your reputation”

On the road, guests want to know the pickup time, the vehicle number and the trip lead's contact. A message about a road closure before the guest hears it elsewhere keeps the complaint from becoming a review.

What we do

What we deliver for domestic tour operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. WhatsApp Business profile and catalogue

Business description, hours, trip catalogue and quick replies set up for your trips.

Result: A new enquirer sees a profile that describes what you sell.

  2. Quick replies for the common questions

Saved replies for the three details, inclusions, refund terms and payment steps.

Result: The team replies in the same words every time.

  3. Labels and lists for enquiries

Labels for stage, destination and departure date applied to every chat.

Result: You can filter chats for a single departure.

  4. Broadcast rules and lists

Who may be messaged, about what, and how to opt out.

Result: Messages go only to people who agreed to receive them.

  5. Trip-day message templates

Pickup, delay, road closure and hotel change notes written in advance.

Result: The trip lead sends a clear note without drafting it under pressure.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need the WhatsApp Business API?
The Business app suits a small team. The platform route suits higher volume and shared access, with its own costs and rules. Check the provider's current terms before deciding.
Can we message people who enquired last year?
Only if they have agreed to hear from you, and follow the platform's current rules. Record consent when the enquiry arrives, and honour a request to stop immediately.
Should the owner reply personally?
The owner can handle high-value enquiries. A team member can handle the first reply from the saved script, as long as the family is never kept waiting without a word.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
