Restaurants · Apartment advertising

Win the order that skips the app, from the towers inside your delivery radius.

Apartment advertising puts a restaurant inside the buildings it already delivers to: a lift panel, the gate notice board, a tasting stall on Sunday evening, a stall on the society's own festival day. GullySales gets each association's approval in writing and puts a direct ordering number on the artwork.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What apartment advertising means

Apartment advertising is media and activity inside residential communities: the notice board, the lift panel, a Sunday stall. GullySales gets the association's written permission first, because anything put up without it comes down.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For restaurants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The lift ride is four floors long”

One dish, one number, one price for two. A full menu on a lift panel is read by nobody, because the person in front of it is going down for milk.

  • “The commission is the reason to be there”

An order placed on the number in the lift is an order nobody took a cut of. That is the case for this medium, and it holds only while somebody picks up the phone at half past eight.

  • “The association's own event is the prize”

Ganesha Chaturthi, Deepavali and the society day come with food for two hundred people ordered by one secretary. A weekend stall is how you meet that person.

  • “A tasting beats a poster”

A table with the biryani you want to be known for gets you flat numbers and people who asked to hear from you. A printed menu slipped under a door gets you nothing.

What we do

What we deliver for restaurants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Society list by delivery time, not distance

The towers your rider reaches while the food is still hot, which on a weekday evening is a shorter list than the map suggests.

Result: You advertise where the food arrives in good condition.

  2. Written permission with the licence attached

Each association agreeing the panel, the board and the stall date, with the FSSAI licence sent along with the request, since a society allowing food asks to see it.

Result: The date is confirmed before anything is cooked or printed.

  3. Panel artwork with one dish and one number

The dish you want the orders for, the price for two, the delivery time and a WhatsApp line that reaches the counter directly.

Result: A resident can order without opening an app.

  4. A Sunday evening tasting stall

The hours families are down at the play area, a tasting of one or two dishes, and a printed set menu for birthdays and house parties.

Result: You leave with numbers and party enquiries.

  5. A direct line and a code at the counter

The number used in these buildings alone, and a code the billing screen records, so the tower is written against every order.

Result: You can see what a building is worth in a month.

  6. Reporting by building

Orders, their value and party bookings by tower, next to dated photographs of each panel, against the baseline recorded before the campaign.

Result: The towers that order get the next round of panels.

How the result is measured

  • Communities covered
  • Permissions in writing
  • Enquiries quoting the community code

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it is bought, and approved

A restaurant should have its licence copy, a stall plan that avoids open flame and a clear view of the society's festival calendar.

Committee and a separate yes for food
The committee approves the panel; a food stall or tasting often needs its own approval. Ask for both in one letter, so the stall does not depend on a verbal nod.
Licence copy attached to the request
Many societies ask for your FSSAI licence before a food stall. Check its validity and attach a copy to the request, along with the stall layout.
Gas, flame and waste at the stall
Ask whether open flame, gas cylinders and cooking are barred in the clubhouse or car park. Plan a tasting that needs only reheating or cold items, and say who clears the waste.
The society's festival calendar
Ask the committee for the dates of its own events and whether outside food stalls are allowed at them. Book those before the panel artwork goes to print.
The building asked at the counter
Tell the counter staff to ask for the building name when the direct number rings, and note it against the order, so the buildings that order directly are visible.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the apartment advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Draw the ring

We agree how far a resident will realistically come to you. For a salon that is two or three societies. For a diagnostic centre it is the whole main road.

  2. 2

    Shortlist and verify the societies

Which are self-managed and which are under a facility company, who the gatekeeper is, what categories they allow, and what they charge on their own account.

  3. 3

    Get permission and quote properly

Permission letters are collected first. Only then do you see a rate, and it includes the society fee rather than surprising you with it later.

  4. 4

    Print, install and audit

Artwork goes to each format's exact size, installation is scheduled with the facility manager, and every lobby is photographed with a date.

  5. 5

    Run the activity

The clubhouse weekend is booked inside the display month, when your name is already on the wall of the lift they came down in.

  6. 6

    Read it society by society

Calls and walk-ins are counted per code and the list is cut. Two societies usually carry a campaign and four carry nothing.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is the direct number worth the trouble?
Only if somebody answers it. A commission-free order needs a phone picked up during the dinner rush and an address written down correctly. If the counter cannot do that at half past eight on a Friday, fix that before the panels are printed.
Can we run a food stall inside a society?
With the association's written permission, which comes with conditions: the date, the spot, whether anything may be cooked on site and what they charge for the space. Send the FSSAI licence with the request, and expect a few refusals.
How do we know the panels did anything?
Through the number and the code alone. The panel counts nothing, the app will never tell you an order started in a lift, and the watchman keeps no register. We report orders on the direct line by building, month by month.
What if the association asks for a share of the stall sales?
Some societies charge a fee or ask for a share. Get the terms in writing before booking, and check with your accountant how the share is billed. Decide beforehand whether the stall is worth it for the direct orders it brings.
Should the panel mention the delivery apps?
Print only your direct number or ordering link. Naming the apps sends the resident to open one. Check each app's current terms on how you may mention direct offers to its customers before you print an offer.
Should we leave Swiggy and Zomato?
Rarely. The apps bring new customers you would not reach otherwise. The aim is to rely on them less by moving repeat customers to direct orders and filling tables in the restaurant.
Are paid food blogger visits worth it?
They can put a new restaurant on people's lists, but a bump in followers is not the same as covers. We choose creators whose audience lives nearby, ask for honest content with clear disclosure, and check the following weeks' footfall.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
