GullySales

Travel agencies and tour operators · Digital marketing

Fill the monsoon gap that sits between the summer rush and Diwali.

Digital marketing for a travel agency is search, Instagram, WhatsApp and the school and wedding networks worked to one plan across the year's seasons. GullySales decides what each channel does in which month and reports enquiries by source, so the quiet weeks have something running in them.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For travel agencies and tour operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your year has three peaks and two holes”

April to June, Diwali and the New Year weeks fill themselves. July and the weeks after Sankranti are where a plan earns its keep.

  • “One trip has to feed a year of posts”

Decide before a departure who is shooting, so one Ladakh group gives you reels, a trip page and a photograph for next season's quote.

  • “Every channel ends at the same number”

A family will not fill in a form at eleven at night, so the WhatsApp number belongs on the page, the profile and the advert.

What we do

What we deliver for travel agencies and tour operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A month-by-month plan across the season calendar

What runs over the winter for summer bookings, what runs before the muhurtham months, what runs when yatra registration opens, and what fills the monsoon weeks.

Result: The quiet months stop being a surprise every year.

  2. A shot list agreed before each departure

Who photographs what on the trip, which shots go to the reel, which to the trip page and which into next season's quote, settled with the tour manager beforehand.

Result: One departure feeds a year of marketing.

  3. One WhatsApp number on every page, advert and listing

The same business number on the website, the Business Profile, the adverts and Instagram, with a named person answering it through the evening.

Result: The enquiry at eleven at night has somewhere to land.

  4. Off-season departures built for people who are free then

Senior citizen groups, corporate offsites and school tours placed in the weeks when families cannot travel, priced for those months rather than the peak.

Result: The monsoon gap fills with travellers who are free in it.

  5. Listings that point back at your own trip pages

JustDial, Google and the travel listing sites set up with current photographs and links to your package pages rather than a phone number alone.

Result: A browsing traveller ends up reading your itinerary.

  6. One report of enquiries by source and trip

Every enquiry attributed to the search, the reel, the referral or the listing that produced it, set against the baseline from the start.

Result: The reel everybody praised gets judged on bookings.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for travel agents

Build your three signature trips properly before promoting a long list of destinations.

A page for each signature trip
Write a day-by-day itinerary, inclusions and exclusions, hotel category and a WhatsApp booking button. Record the page behind each enquiry.
The Maps profile for the office
Add the office address, hours, staff photographs and the destinations you sell. Count calls and direction requests.
A follow-up after each quote
Send a message with a date when the quote goes out, and record booked or lost with a reason. Reasons such as price or inclusions guide what to change.
A past-traveller list by trip
Record each traveller's trip and date, and write to them when a similar departure opens. Note how many book again.
A visa and documents checklist
Put the documents a traveller needs on each international trip page, so questions arrive before the booking.
What to leave until later
Paid reach on destination keywords against the big portals and frequent travel reels can wait until trip pages and follow-up exist.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the digital marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a small agency start?
With the reply time and one good trip page. Answering within the hour and describing your best-selling package properly costs almost nothing and changes more than a campaign will.
Do we need the travel portals as well?
For filling seats on a group departure, sometimes. The portal keeps the customer and takes a share, so build the direct enquiries and the repeat travellers first and treat a listing as a way to fill the last few seats.
A traveller took our quote and booked on a portal. How do we record it?
Mark it lost with a reason: price, inclusions, dates or no reply. After a season the reasons show whether the quote needs clearer inclusions or the follow-up came late. A lost quote with a reason is information, and a blank is not.
Can we use travellers' photographs on Instagram?
Ask each traveller for permission, preferably in writing on WhatsApp, and credit them. Tag the trip and destination and link to the trip page so a viewer can find the itinerary. Record enquiries that mention a post.
How do we stop people using our itinerary to book on their own?
Send a clear summary first and the detailed hotel-by-hotel plan once the traveller has confirmed interest or paid a small booking amount. Follow up within a day of sending any quote, because the traveller who hears back quickly rarely rebuilds the trip alone.
Should we list our packages on large travel portals?
It can help a tour operator fill group departures, but the portal owns the customer relationship and takes a share. We usually build direct enquiries and repeat business first, then decide on portals for specific departures.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
