A harvester costs a lot and sits idle all year, so buyers decide slowly and ask everyone.

A farm machine is a large purchase used a few weeks a year. The buyer may be a farmer with a large holding, a custom hirer who rents it out to neighbours, or a cooperative. Each asks different questions, and each wants to see it work before paying.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Agricultural machinery builders inspect a cultivator and pump assemblies

In one paragraph

Farm machinery means the larger self-contained machines used on a farm, such as harvesters, threshers, power weeders, sprayers and balers. GullySales helps makers of these machines reach buyers who own the land, hire out the machine, or serve as custom hirers, and follows the long decision from first demonstration to order.

The sales cycle follows the crop. A buyer decides in the weeks before the season and forgets the machine after it.

Who it is for

This is written for you if farm machinery is what you make or sell.

  • Makers of harvesters and combine attachments
  • Builders of threshers, shellers and balers
  • Makers of power weeders, tillers and small sprayers
  • Fabricators of machines for sugarcane, paddy, groundnut or other regional crops

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Makers of one-off prototypes with no plan for series production
  • Firms that cannot demonstrate a machine in the field before the season

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of farm machinery.

  1. A field demonstration

The buyer wants to see it cut or thresh their own crop. Demonstrations must be booked ahead of the season, and a buyer who sees it is much closer to deciding.

  2. Custom hiring economics

A custom hirer thinks about how many acres a day it covers and how often it breaks. They ask owners of the same machine, so reference buyers matter.

  3. Fuel, parts and a service engineer

Breakdowns in season are costly. The buyer asks how far your service engineer is and which parts you hold.

  4. Finance and scheme route

A large purchase often needs a loan or a subsidy. Whether a model qualifies is for the buyer, the bank and the department to confirm.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell farm machinery.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “They liked the demo but bought after the season”

Without a follow-up routine, the buyer's attention drifts and a rival closes in the next cycle.

  • “Reference farmers are our best sales people and we do not use them”

A satisfied owner who agrees to a call or a video is worth more than any advertisement. Nobody asks them.

  • “We cannot reach custom hirers”

These buyers know each other and the dealer. They are found through the districts where the crop grows and the dealers who serve them.

The scope

The work we would propose for farm machinery.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for farm machinery.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A demonstration calendar and invitation list

Brings the right buyers to a field before the season.

  2. Owner reference videos

Replace a claim with a farmer saying what the machine did on their land.

  3. A demonstration follow-up sheet

Gives the sales person the questions to ask and the next call date.

  4. A service coverage page

Answers the most common worry before the buyer raises it.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified machine enquiries
  • Demonstrations held
  • Follow-up on each demonstration and quotation
  • Orders won
  • Repeat orders and referrals
  • Dealer enquiries

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Machine list with the crop each is built for
  • Past buyers willing to act as references
  • Demonstrations done in the last season and their outcome
  • Service engineers and the districts they cover
  • Finance partners or schemes buyers often use

Export and new regions

Selling farm machinery beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Importers and custom hirers abroad

Machines suited to small holdings can find buyers in similar farming regions. Existing export buyers are where we would begin.

  2. Spares and service from a distance

An importer asks how spares travel and who trains their mechanic. The plan must be written before the quotation.

  3. Shows and demonstration tours

If you exhibit at farm machinery shows, the first job is to follow up the visitors you already met.

FAQ

Questions about selling farm machinery.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we sell a machine used once a year?
Time your contact to the season and let the buyer see it. A demonstration booked before the crop, plus a follow-up call, does more than advertising in the off months.
Can references be used in marketing?
Only with the owner's agreement. We would ask them, record what they agree to and use only that.
Should we target custom hirers separately?
Yes. They buy for income and ask about running cost and breakdowns. A farmer buying for their own land asks other things.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
