Manufacturing · Textile & Garment Manufacturing

The school asked for a sample set, and by the time we sent it the contract was gone.

Uniforms are bought on a calendar. Schools order before the academic year, companies when staff join, and hospitals when a contract renews. A maker who is late to the conversation finds it closed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Textile staff inspect yarn, fabric and garment samples

In one paragraph

Uniform manufacturing is the making of school, corporate, hospital, security and industrial uniforms in sized lots, usually against a contract or an annual order. GullySales builds the institution outreach, sample handling and quotation follow-up that bring a uniform maker contracts from schools, companies and contractors.

The buyer is an administrator, an HR manager or a facilities head. They want a sample, a reference and a delivery they can rely on.

Who it is for

This is written for you if uniform manufacturing is what you make or sell.

  • Makers of school uniforms selling to schools and school suppliers
  • Corporate and industrial uniform units supplying factories and offices
  • Makers of hospital, hotel and security staff uniforms
  • Garment units that want a stable contract base next to export or brand work

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Units that cannot deliver sized lots on a fixed date
  • Makers wanting only retail uniform shop trade, where the shop owner, not the school, is the customer

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of uniform manufacturing.

  1. The sample set and the committee

Schools and companies ask for sample garments in the proposed fabric and colour. A small committee compares them and decides, often with parents or staff representatives.

  2. Measurement and size sets

A uniform order needs sizes for hundreds of people. The maker who can organise measuring and size exchanges wins over one who only stitches.

  3. References from similar institutions

The buyer asks which other schools or companies you serve, and may call one of them.

  4. Annual contract or tender

Larger institutions run a tender or ask for annual rates. Missing the notice is the commonest reason for a lost contract.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell uniform manufacturing.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We hear about a school's uniform change too late”

The decision is made months before the new year. Makers who contacted the administrator earlier are already on the shortlist.

  • “Samples take too long”

Matching the fabric and colour for a sample set pulls the cutting team off other work, and the sample arrives after the committee meets.

  • “A uniform shop sits between us and the school”

The shop controls the order, sells at a margin and can change the maker without warning.

The scope

The work we would propose for uniform manufacturing.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, orders won and, where you sell through dealers or shelves, repeat orders by channel. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for uniform manufacturing.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A uniform range sheet by institution type

Garments, fabric options, colour matching and sizing process on one page for each buyer type.

  2. A sample kit and dispatch log

A standard set of garments ready to send, with a record of who received them.

  3. A renewal calendar by institution

Review dates and decision-makers, so contact is made before competitors.

  4. A sizing and measurement guide

A simple sheet for an institution to organise measurement day with your team.

How the result is measured

  • Institutions contacted before their review date
  • Sample sets sent and followed up
  • Quotations and tender responses submitted
  • Contracts won and renewed
  • Repeat orders by institution
  • Orders passing through a uniform shop

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Current institutions you supply and the garments each takes
  • Sample garments and fabric swatches
  • Past quotations, won and lost
  • Your delivery area and capacity at peak season
  • References you may name

Export and new regions

Selling uniform manufacturing beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Uniform buyers outside India

Overseas uniform work is mostly corporate and hospitality supply through agents. Start with enquiries already in your records.

  2. Sizing and fabric standards of the buyer's country

Sizes and colour references differ. Ask for the buyer's specification and sample before you quote.

FAQ

Questions about selling uniform manufacturing.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

When should I contact schools?
Well before their academic year begins, since the supplier is chosen months earlier. Keep a record of each school's usual review time and start the conversation then.
Should I go to the school or the uniform shop?
Both, if you can. Shops give volume with little loyalty. A direct contract with the school is yours if you keep delivering.
Can I make corporate uniforms and school uniforms from the same unit?
Many do. The buyers, calendar and sizing process differ, so treat them as two lines on the website and in follow-up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
