Manufacturing · Textile & Garment Manufacturing

The buyer wanted a price per piece by tonight, and we replied with a catalogue.

A brand's sourcing manager sends a tech pack, or a photograph of a garment, to six units and waits for numbers. The first to reply with a clear price, a minimum order and a sample date is the one the buyer talks to. The others are read later, or not at all.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Textile staff inspect yarn, fabric and garment samples

In one paragraph

Garment manufacturing is the cutting and stitching of finished clothing, from shirts and knitwear to kidswear and activewear, in lots for brands, buying houses and retailers. GullySales builds the product pages, tech-pack enquiry handling and sample follow-up that bring garment units orders from buyers who compare several makers at once.

Who it is for

This is written for you if garment manufacturing is what you make or sell.

  • Units making shirts, T-shirts, trousers, kidswear or knitwear for brands
  • Garment makers who supply buying houses and want direct brand buyers
  • Cut-make-trim units that want to add their own fabric sourcing
  • Makers selling to retailers and wholesale markets through agents

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Units that only take job-work from one exporter and have no spare capacity to sell
  • Makers who cannot accept a sample request or a tech pack quickly

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of garment manufacturing.

  1. Tech pack, measurement chart and target price

A brand sends the design and specification and asks for a price per piece at a given quantity. Your reply must say what is included: fabric, trims, packing and the delivery point.

  2. Pre-production sample and fit approval

The buyer approves a sample for fit, stitching and wash before bulk. Delays in this step lose more orders than the price.

  3. Line visit and capacity check

Buyers or their agents visit the floor to see machine count, finishing, quality checks and the way the line is organised.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell garment manufacturing.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We quote after the other units have”

The costing for a style needs fabric rates and trims quotes, and it takes days. The buyer has moved on to the unit that replied first.

  • “Our enquiries are tiny orders”

Small traders ask for a few hundred pieces with unclear designs. The floor wastes time on them while a serious brand buyer waits.

  • “The agent shows us as a name on a list”

The buying house holds the brand relationship. Without your own contact at the brand, the price is whatever the agent decides.

What we do

What you get for garment manufacturing.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A line card by garment category

One sheet showing what you make, the quantity range and the fabric families, which brand buyers can pass on within their team.

  2. A tech pack intake form

It asks for the design file, measurement chart, quantity per style and delivery date, so costing starts with the facts.

  3. A sample tracker by style

Dates sent, comments received and revisions, owned by a named person.

  4. A factory visit pack

Photographs, machine list and the way quality is checked, ready before a buyer asks to come.

How the result is measured

  • Tech packs received
  • Costings returned on time
  • Samples sent and approved
  • Bulk orders won
  • Repeat orders by brand
  • Share of orders from the largest agent

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Machine and line details as they are now
  • Photographs of finished garments and of the floor
  • Recent costings and buyer replies
  • Names of buyers and agents you work with
  • Fabric sources you commonly use

Export and new regions

Selling garment manufacturing beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Brands and sourcing offices abroad

Overseas brands source through offices in India and directly through importers. Start from buyers who have already approved a sample from you.

  2. Compliance papers and test reports

Buyers ask for social and product test documents before bulk. Prepare a folder of what you hold, and let your team handle new ones.

FAQ

Questions about selling garment manufacturing.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I answer a tech pack faster?
Set up a standard costing sheet with fabric rates and a fixed first reply. The price can follow, but the buyer should hear from you the same day.
Should I sell my own brand as well?
That is a separate business with a different kind of marketing, mostly consumer-facing. This page is about making for others. We would treat your own brand as a second project.
Do I list my price per piece on the site?
Usually not. It depends on fabric, quantity and trims. Show your range and minimums, and ask for the tech pack.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
