Manufacturing · Textile & Garment Manufacturing

The garment maker called three mills for the same cloth, and the swatch from the nearest arrived first.

A garment maker buys fabric by quality: the count, the construction, the width, the weight. Two mills may offer the same cloth. What separates them is who sends the swatch, who holds stock and who answers the phone about a shade.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Textile staff inspect yarn, fabric and garment samples

In one paragraph

Fabric manufacturing is the weaving or knitting of yarn into cloth that is sold to garment makers, processors, traders and institutions. GullySales builds the quality pages, swatch dispatch follow-up and buyer outreach that bring a weaving or knitting unit new customers beyond the traders it already knows.

Who it is for

This is written for you if fabric manufacturing is what you make or sell.

  • Weaving units making cotton, blended or synthetic fabric
  • Knitting units making jersey, fleece or rib for garment makers
  • Mills selling through traders and wanting more direct garment buyers
  • Units holding ready stock of common qualities as well as making to order

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Mills that sell their entire output to a single processor
  • Units that do not want to give a rate or stock position to a new buyer

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of fabric manufacturing.

  1. Quality, width and weight

The buyer names the quality by construction, GSM or ounces per yard, width and composition. They want a swatch of the same before a rate.

  2. Ready stock against made to order

Small garment units want cloth that can be sent this week. Large ones will plan a lot ahead. Your stock list answers the first group.

  3. Shade, shrinkage and fall

After a swatch, the buyer tests wash, shrinkage and colour. A fault found after cutting costs the garment maker much more than the cloth.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell fabric manufacturing.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Traders take the margin and the customer”

You sell to a trader who sells to the garment maker. The garment maker's repeat order goes to the trader even if your cloth was the reason.

  • “Our stock changes and the buyer does not know”

Qualities in stock are shared on WhatsApp to a few contacts. The wider market never hears of a new design or a cleared lot.

  • “A swatch was sent and the buyer chose another”

No one followed up on hand-feel or price. The buyer found a similar cloth nearby.

The scope

The work we would propose for fabric manufacturing.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, orders won and, where you sell through dealers or shelves, repeat orders by channel. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for fabric manufacturing.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A swatch book with spec per card

A numbered set of swatches with count, width, weight and finish on the back.

  2. A stock and rate sheet

Qualities available now, by lot, in a format that can be shared by message.

  3. A swatch request log

A record of who received what, with the date for a call.

  4. A trader and direct buyer split

A list showing which buyers purchase directly, so you can see how much depends on traders.

How the result is measured

  • Swatch requests by quality
  • Swatches followed up
  • Direct garment buyers added
  • Trial lots and bulk orders
  • Repeat orders by customer
  • Share sold through traders

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Quality list with construction, width and weight
  • Current stock and price positions
  • Photographs of the cloth and of the unit
  • A list of garment makers and traders you sell to
  • Recent swatch requests and outcomes

Export and new regions

Selling fabric manufacturing beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Importers and garment makers abroad

Fabric exports go to garment makers and wholesalers in nearby markets. Your own export enquiry data is the first thing we would read.

  2. Test reports and swatch shipping

Buyers want test results and a courier swatch before an order. Keep both ready and quote the cost of sending.

FAQ

Questions about selling fabric manufacturing.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I reach garment makers without a trader?
Find them by cluster and product, introduce your qualities and send swatches. It is slower than selling to a trader, and it is where the repeat orders become yours.
Should I put rates on my website?
Rates change with yarn. Show qualities and stock, and give rates on request.
Does a small mill need a catalogue?
A simple swatch book and a one-page quality sheet are enough to start, and they do more than a long brochure.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
