Electroplating and surface finishing units · CRM

Keep every part, finish and buyer in one record, and not in the supervisor's diary.

A CRM for an electroplating unit is a single record of every buyer, part, finish and sample lot, kept so no enquiry depends on memory. GullySales sets up a record that fits job work, with fields for finish, base material and test needs, and trains the office to keep it current.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For electroplating and surface finishing units

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The drawing and the buyer are in different places”

A drawing is in a WhatsApp chat, the price is in a notebook and the buyer's number is on a visiting card. Nobody can see the whole job.

  • “Sample lots are forgotten”

A sample is collected, plated and returned. No one asks whether it passed, so the buyer goes elsewhere without a word.

  • “Repeat buyers are not recognised”

A customer who sent a lot last year calls again and is treated as a new buyer, with the same questions asked again.

What we do

What we deliver for electroplating and surface finishing units.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A record built around the part

Fields for part name, drawing number, base material, finish, thickness asked and tests required, instead of a general contact list.

Result: Anyone in the office can pick up a buyer's job.

  2. A sample-lot tracker

Each sample is logged with the date collected, the result and the buyer's decision.

Result: No sample lot is left without an answer.

  3. A buyer history

A page per customer showing the parts sent, the lots plated, the rejections and the price asked.

Result: A returning buyer is recognised on the call.

  4. Training for the office staff

A short session and a checklist so the person who answers the phone writes each call into the record.

Result: The record is used from the first week, not left empty.

  5. A reminder list for follow-up

A daily list of buyers whose quote or sample needs a call, in the order of who has waited longest.

Result: The follow-up is on a list, not in a person's head.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries logged in the CRM
  • Data completeness
  • Reports generated from CRM data

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to record, and when

Write these facts about each buyer at the moment you get them.

A plating record that has the right fields is faster to fill than a notebook. Start with these.

Part and drawing number
Record the part name and the drawing or sample reference at the first call. Without it, a quote cannot be written and a repeat lot cannot be matched.
Finish and base material
Note the finish asked, such as yellow zinc or hard chrome, and the metal underneath. Preparation differs by metal, so this changes the price and the risk.
Thickness and tests asked
Write the thickness the drawing calls for and whether the buyer wants a salt spray or thickness report. These decide whether you can take the job.
Quantity and lot pattern
Record the lot size and how often the buyer expects to send work. A single lot and a regular schedule are different customers, and they get different quotes.
Sample lot status and result
Log when the sample was collected, what you found and what the buyer said. A sample with no result recorded is a lost buyer you have not yet noticed.
Do you need software yet?
A shared sheet with the fields above works for a small unit with one or two people answering enquiries. Move to a CRM when several people need the same record at once.

Who it is for

This is written for these electroplating and surface finishing units.

  • Zinc and zinc-nickel platers serving fastener and auto-part makers
  • Decorative nickel-chrome platers for bathroom fittings and furniture hardware
  • Hard chrome platers for hydraulic rods, rollers and moulds
  • Electroless nickel units for engineering and tooling parts
  • Anodising and hard anodising units for aluminium parts
  • Powder coating and painting lines attached to a plating unit
  • Phosphating and black oxide shops for fasteners and tools
  • Silver and gold platers for electrical contacts and jewellery
  • In-house plating departments that take outside job work

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the crm work runs

  1. 1

    Map the sales process

We record how a deal actually moves from enquiry to close in your business today.

  2. 2

    Configure stages and fields

The CRM's pipeline and fields are built to match that process exactly, not a generic template.

  3. 3

    Set up automations

Reminders, assignment rules and follow-up triggers are configured so routine steps happen without manual effort.

  4. 4

    Test with real deals

We run the configuration against actual current deals to catch gaps before the whole team relies on it.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a spreadsheet enough for a plating unit?
For a small unit, yes, if it has the fields for part, finish, base material and sample status and one person owns it. Move to a CRM when two or more people edit it and rows start to clash.
What if the supervisor will not update the record?
Make it the way the day starts: the morning list of jobs and follow-ups comes from the record. When the list depends on it, people fill it in, and the owner reads from it too.
What do we do with WhatsApp chats about a job?
Copy the key facts into the record: part, finish, quantity and decision. Keep the chat only as backup. A record that depends on scrolling through chats cannot be shared or counted.
Who owns the data if we change the CRM later?
You do. Keep the account in the company's name and make sure you can export your records at any time. Check this before you commit to any tool.
Do plating units need marketing, or only good quality?
Good quality keeps a customer. It does not bring a new one while a buyer searches and cannot find you. A plater who is easy to find and quick to reply gets the sample lot where quality gets judged.
Can you write for platers who do many finishes?
Yes. We write a page for each finish, because a buyer looking for hard chrome does not want to read about zinc. Each page names only what that line can do.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
