Industrial equipment manufacturers · Google Business Profile

Be found when a local buyer searches for a manufacturer nearby.

Google Business Profile management for an industrial manufacturer keeps the location, categories and photographs of a site that receives visitors current, useful for buyers who prefer a nearby supplier for service reasons. GullySales checks first that the address qualifies.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What Google Business Profile means

A Google Business Profile is the free listing that shows your address, hours, photos and reviews when someone searches for your business or a nearby competitor on Google and Maps. GullySales sets it up correctly, keeps it updated and posts to it regularly so it works as a steady source of calls and direction requests.

For industrial equipment manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Local searches still matter for industrial buyers”

A buyer preferring a nearby supplier for faster service searches by locality and machine type together.

  • “Photographs of the plant build confidence”

Real photographs of the manufacturing floor reassure a buyer researching before an RFQ.

  • “Categories should match specific machine types”

Broad categories miss specific searches; naming the actual equipment types improves the match.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial equipment manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An eligibility check on your address

A review of which of your locations Google would accept: a sales office, a showroom or a plant that receives buyers and engineers in stated hours, as against a plant that receives no visitors.

Result: You list only what qualifies, and nothing that risks a suspension.

  2. Profile completed with accurate plant categories

Business categories matched to your actual equipment types instead of a broad, generic manufacturing category.

Result: A specific machine-type search matches your profile correctly.

  3. Plant and manufacturing floor photo set

Real photographs of the manufacturing floor and equipment, added to the Business Profile.

Result: A buyer researching before an RFQ sees a real, working plant.

  4. Location and contact detail consistency check

Address, phone number and hours checked to match exactly across the profile, website and directories.

Result: A mismatch does not quietly cost the profile its ranking.

  5. A plan for adding photos and posts

A plan for adding photos and posts to the profile, keeping it visibly current between updates.

Result: A buyer sees an active, maintained listing rather than an old one.

  6. Profile visibility report

A report against your baseline on profile views, calls and direction requests generated from the listing.

Result: The owner sees whether the local listing is earning attention.

How the result is measured

  • Profile views
  • Calls from the listing
  • Direction requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What the profile needs

What an equipment maker's profile needs for the showroom or service office to qualify, and for plant staff to find it.

Which site Google can accept
Mark the locations where buyers and engineers are received in stated hours: a showroom, sales office or service centre. A plant gate with no reception should not be listed.
Category from the machine, not the industry
Pick the category closest to what you build, such as a pump or compressor supplier, from Google's current list. A generic manufacturer label matches almost no search.
Service and spares as listed services
If a service desk or spares counter exists at the address, list it as its own service. A plant manager with a breakdown searches for repair and spares, not for the maker.
Nameplate and demonstration photographs
Show a unit on the floor with its nameplate legible, a demo or test area, and the spares shelf. Remove customer names visible on dispatch tags.
The service engineers' own travel
If engineers travel to customer plants from this office, set a service area for the places they reach, using Google's current options, rather than adding extra addresses.
Name and number matched everywhere
The profile name and phone should match the website and IndiaMART listing letter for letter. A buyer who finds two names assumes one is stale.

Who it is for

This is written for these industrial equipment manufacturers.

  • CNC machine and precision equipment manufacturers
  • Industrial pump and compressor manufacturers
  • Packaging machinery manufacturers
  • Conveyor and material handling equipment makers
  • Motor and drive manufacturers
  • Custom fabrication and job-work manufacturers
  • Export-oriented industrial equipment makers
  • Spare parts and after-sales service providers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your plant is closed to visitors and has no sales office with a staffed address, so a map pin would mislead.
  • Your whole market is export and your buyers never search on a map.
  • Your address is shared with another firm and you cannot yet prove you operate there.

How it works

How the google business profile work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Find every profile that exists

We search your name, old names, phone numbers and addresses for profiles you own, ones someone else created and duplicates. A record notes which Google account holds each.

  2. 2

    Settle ownership and verification

If you cannot log in, we start the ownership request. You or a senior person at the premises does the verification. Google may ask for a phone code, a live video call or a recording of the signboard and who manages the place.

  3. 3

Match the profile to the signboard

Name, address, pin, phone, hours and business types are compared with what a customer sees at the door. Wrong details are corrected on the profile, and a wrong signboard is raised with you.

  4. 4

    Fill, reply and watch

Photos and services come from material each branch sends. Reviews get drafted replies, and a duplicate or a policy notice is dealt with when it appears.

  5. 5

Read the profile against the baseline

Calls, direction requests and website clicks are set beside the baseline recorded before work started. A branch that falls behind is checked first for a changed detail or a lost verification.

  • Burhani Hydroline

    Situation
The website was dated. Menus were hard to follow, pages were slow, and it did not work properly on a phone, which is where a buyer looks first.
    What we did
    • Research before design
    • Wireframes and prototypes
    • The full product catalogue
    • An online checkout
    Result
No numbers were recorded for this engagement. The work is described in full in the case study.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does this matter for an export-focused manufacturer?
Less directly, though it still helps domestic buyers and site visit planning.
Can a plant that gets no visitors have a profile?
Not on that basis. Google's rule is that the business has a location customers can visit, or travels to customers. Rules differ and change, so check Google's current guidelines before you apply.
How often does this need updating?
Photos and posts periodically; the core details rarely change once set up correctly.
Our sales office is in a co-working space. Can it have a profile?
It depends on whether your own staff are there in the hours you state and customers can reach you there. A desk used by many companies or a mail address usually fails Google's rules. If staff are not present, list a service area or skip it. Check Google's current guidelines.
Our profile is suspended after we edited the category. What now?
Look at the notice for the stated reason, restore the category that matches your actual work and file the reinstatement request with proof, such as the signboard and GST registration. Avoid creating a second profile for the same address. Check Google's current process.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
