Medical device manufacturers · Social media

Post the certification milestone your distributors will want to share.

Social media for a medical device manufacturer means LinkedIn content covering certifications, exhibition participation and device updates, aimed at hospital buyers, biomedical engineers and distributors rather than a general audience. GullySales plans and posts this on a professional schedule.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For medical device manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “LinkedIn is the primary channel for this buyer”

Hospital procurement staff, biomedical engineers and distributors are far more active on LinkedIn during work hours than on consumer platforms.

  • “Exhibition posts should go out before, during and after the event”

Announcing your stand ahead of a medical exhibition, then posting from the floor, brings visitors who would otherwise walk past unaware.

  • “A certification post is genuinely shareable content for distributors”

A new regulatory approval, posted clearly, gives distributors something credible to reshare to their own hospital contacts.

What we do

What we deliver for medical device manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. LinkedIn calendar for professional buyers

A posting schedule of certifications, exhibition updates and device news, aimed at procurement staff, biomedical engineers and distributors.

Result: The right professional audience sees your updates where they already spend time.

  2. Exhibition posting sequence

Posts planned before, during and after a medical exhibition, announcing the stand and then posting from the floor.

Result: Visitors who would have walked past find your stand instead.

  3. Certification posts distributors can reshare

A clearly written post for each new regulatory approval, formatted so distributors can reshare it to their own hospital contacts.

Result: A new certification reaches hospital contacts through distributors too.

  4. Short video teasers for device features

A brief video highlighting one device feature or an upcoming conference appearance, pointing viewers to the full specification page.

Result: A professional viewer moves from a short video to the detailed page.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where device buyers and distributors look, and what to post for each.

LinkedIn for biomedical engineers and purchase teams
Post a specification summary: intended use as stated in your registration, models and accessories. Add nothing beyond what the label and the registration say.
YouTube demonstration for biomedical engineers
Show setup, calibration checks, cleaning and daily use, with the user manual on screen. These are the questions an engineer asks before approving a purchase.
WhatsApp Business for distributors
Send current brochures, registration details and the price list to each distributor in one thread. Replace old files when a model changes.
Service engineers' LinkedIn profiles
Post an installation and training day at a hospital, with the hospital's written yes. Buyers want to know who will support the device afterwards.
Instagram and Facebook for home devices
For items like BP monitors or nebulisers, show daily use in a home. Keep to how to use it, not what it cures.
What not to post
No claims of cure, diagnosis, accuracy or approval beyond your registration, and no patient images or screens. Device advertising rules change, so check with your regulatory adviser.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How often should we post?
Two to three times a week, focused on real updates like certifications, exhibitions and device news, rather than filler content.
Should distributors be tagged or involved in posts?
Yes, where appropriate, since it extends reach into their hospital networks and strengthens the relationship.
Can we post a doctor using our device?
Only with the doctor's written consent, and check whether your regulator or the doctor's council restricts endorsements. Do not offer anything in return. Show the device in use and what it does, not outcomes. Hospitals may also have their own rules on filming.
We make devices for other brands. Can we post them?
Only with the brand's written yes. Show the process, the line and the checks, and cover labels and brand marks unless the contract allows them. Check your manufacturing agreement before filming, since many forbid naming the brand owner.
Should our product pages state the device's risk class?
Yes. Under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017, each device falls in class A, B, C or D, and a biomedical engineer checks that class against your licence. Showing both on the page saves a round of emails before the demo.
Can we name the hospitals that already use our device?
Only with each hospital's written permission, and stated as a fact rather than an endorsement. Many hospitals refuse, so we plan the page to work without names. An installation count by city or specialty is a safer form of proof when you can verify it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
