Mutual fund distributors · Branding

Every word on your card is a compliance decision as well as a design one.

For a distributor the identity question is partly regulatory, because what you may call yourself, and whose marks you may show, follows the registration you hold. GullySales settles the wording with your compliance adviser, then builds the card, the review folder and the profiles around it.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For mutual fund distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Adviser and distributor are not two words for one thing

They are separate registrations with separate obligations. A card using the wrong one is a public statement about a licence you do not hold.

  • A fund house's mark belongs to the fund house

Putting it on your material can suggest an endorsement nobody gave you. Permission is asked for in writing, not assumed from a dealership.

  • The folder you leave behind is the brand

Investors judge a practice by what arrives after the meeting: the position, the note, the goal sheet. Most distributors leave nothing at all.

  • A family practice needs a name the next one can carry

Where the firm is your own name, a son or daughter joining inherits a brand built around somebody else. That is worth deciding early.

What we do

What we deliver for mutual fund distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The wording settled once and used everywhere

How you describe yourself, which registration is stated and what is never claimed, agreed with your compliance adviser and then applied without variation.

Result: Every piece of your material says the same thing.

  2. Card, letterhead and review pack

Designed with the ARN, the required disclaimer and your contact details in place, in a form you can print locally without the layout collapsing.

Result: What you hand over looks like a practice.

  3. A rule for using fund house names and marks

What may be shown, what needs written permission, and whom to ask at each fund house, kept as a short note anyone in the office can follow.

Result: Nobody uses a mark that was never granted.

  4. The review meeting folder

A standard set of what an investor takes home after a review: the position, the goal, what was agreed and the date of the next meeting.

Result: The meeting leaves something behind.

  5. Profiles matched across every platform

Search, professional networks, messaging apps and your site carrying identical wording, registration details and photograph.

Result: A prospect checking three places sees one practice.

  6. A quarterly pass to catch drift

A short check over every public description and piece of printed material, because wording changes quietly as people rewrite things.

Result: Drift is caught before anybody else notices it.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

  • New distributors in their first years after NISM certification

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for mutual fund distributors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your book, SIP stops, review frequency, referral sources, reply time and what you currently publish.

  2. 2

    Set the review calendar

A schedule and CRM so every investor is reviewed on time, and a routine for market falls.

  3. 3

    Write the explanations

Plain, compliant content on fund categories, risk and goals, checked for disclaimer and nomenclature before it goes out.

  4. 4

    Bring investors in

Referral routines with investors and CAs, local search, and awareness sessions where the audience already trusts the host.

  5. 5

    Keep them invested

Money-event tracking, goal reviews and a steady, calm voice, so SIPs last and families add accounts.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we print SEBI registered on our card?
Not unless that is the registration you hold, and a distributor holds a different one. The safe description is the one on your own certificate. Have your compliance adviser confirm the exact phrasing before anything goes to print.
Can we show fund house logos on our website?
Ask each fund house in writing first. A logo implies an association and the permission is theirs to give. Several will agree for a specific use and a few will not, which is worth knowing before the site is designed.
Can a mutual fund distributor advertise on social media?
Yes, within SEBI and AMFI rules. Content must carry the standard market-risk disclaimer, avoid promising returns, and present you as a mutual fund distributor, not an investment adviser. We check each post against those rules and leave out anything that reads like a personal recommendation.
Can we post fund returns and top fund lists?
We avoid it. Selective past performance and ranking lists invite exactly the complaints regulators watch for, and they attract investors chasing last year's winner. Education on categories and risk builds a steadier book.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
