Mutual fund distributors · Lead generation

The enquiry is an introduction, and it arrives through somebody's client.

For a distributor a lead is a family being introduced, usually by an existing investor or a chartered accountant. GullySales scripts the ask that produces those introductions, sets the questions that show whether money is arriving, and builds the follow-up between the first call and the meeting.

A sorting hopper in a depot yard: a wide gold hopper on a steel frame, its throat splitting into three chutes that feed three floor bins, one heaped past its own spout, one half caught, one barely started

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For mutual fund distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The qualifying question is when, not how much

A bonus in March, a deposit maturing in August, a flat being sold. Money arriving on a date is what makes the conversation real.

  • You are introduced to a family, not a person

The spouse is at the first meeting and often decides afterwards. A follow-up reaching only the person who rang is half a follow-up.

  • A form fill with no referrer behaves differently

Somebody who found you cold is comparing you with an app. Treat that enquiry as a different animal and expect to explain a great deal more.

  • The ask has a moment and most distributors miss it

The end of a review meeting that went well is when an investor will introduce you. A month later the feeling has worn off.

What we do

What we deliver for mutual fund distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A referral ask scripted for the end of a review

The words to use when a review has gone well, who to ask for by description rather than by name, and how what was promised gets written down.

Result: Introductions come from across the book, not the same four people.

  2. An introduction note for accountants and other professionals

One page a chartered accountant can forward, saying what you do, what you are registered as, and what their client can expect at a first meeting.

Result: A professional can introduce you without composing anything.

  3. A first-call structure

What to ask before agreeing a meeting: what money is arriving and when, who else decides, and what they have already been told elsewhere.

Result: You meet families where a decision is genuinely near.

  4. A follow-up sequence between call and meeting

What is sent, when, and to whom, including the spouse where permission was given, so a fortnight's gap does not cool an introduction.

Result: Fewer first meetings quietly fall through.

  5. An enquiry register kept by source

Every new name recorded with who introduced them, the date, what was discussed and what happened next, kept in a form you can search.

Result: You can thank the right people and repeat what worked.

  6. A monthly count of first meetings by source

Introductions, professional referrals, search and everything else, counted and set against the numbers taken before the work began.

Result: The book's growth stops being a feeling.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these mutual fund distributors.

  • Individual AMFI-registered mutual fund distributors
  • Distributor firms with a small team of relationship managers
  • Distributors who also sell insurance and fixed deposits
  • Second-generation family distribution practices
  • Distributors serving NRIs and their families in India
  • Distributors focused on business owners and treasury money
  • Sub-brokers and platform-linked distributors
  • New distributors in their first years after NISM certification

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for mutual fund distributors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your book, SIP stops, review frequency, referral sources, reply time and what you currently publish.

  2. 2

    Set the review calendar

A schedule and CRM so every investor is reviewed on time, and a routine for market falls.

  3. 3

    Write the explanations

Plain, compliant content on fund categories, risk and goals, checked for disclaimer and nomenclature before it goes out.

  4. 4

    Bring investors in

Referral routines with investors and CAs, local search, and awareness sessions where the audience already trusts the host.

  5. 5

    Keep them invested

Money-event tracking, goal reviews and a steady, calm voice, so SIPs last and families add accounts.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Clients promise to introduce someone and never do. What then?
Ask differently. A general request produces nothing. A specific one works: has a colleague just had a bonus, does a parent have a deposit maturing. Write down what was said and go back to it in a fortnight.
Should we buy investor leads from a website?
We would not. Those names are sold to several people at once and arrive expecting a return promise you cannot give. The same effort put into two accountants produces fewer names and much better ones.
Can a mutual fund distributor advertise on social media?
Yes, within SEBI and AMFI rules. Content must carry the standard market-risk disclaimer, avoid promising returns, and present you as a mutual fund distributor, not an investment adviser. We check each post against those rules and leave out anything that reads like a personal recommendation.
Can we post fund returns and top fund lists?
We avoid it. Selective past performance and ranking lists invite exactly the complaints regulators watch for, and they attract investors chasing last year's winner. Education on categories and risk builds a steadier book.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
