Mutual fund distributors · Digital marketing

Build a plan a two-person practice can actually keep up.

Digital marketing for a distributor starts with a review step rather than a calendar, because every channel carries the same restrictions. GullySales writes a plan sized to the hours you have, puts the compliance check inside the workflow, and reports on first meetings rather than on posts.

A steam traction engine belted across a stackyard to a wooden threshing machine: the long flat belt taut between the flywheel and the drive pulley, the flywheel spinning, a straw elevator raking up off the far end, a full sack hanging on the sack spout, a corn stack half taken down behind and a water cart standing by

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For mutual fund distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The restriction is the same on every channel, so it goes first

A post, a page, an ad and a forwarded message are all subject to it. Building the check once saves rewriting everything later.

  • The channel that compounds here is a calendar of reviews

Meetings held on time produce introductions, and introductions build the book. No media budget matches that, which is an awkward thing for a marketing firm to say.

  • An awareness session borrows somebody else's trust

Speaking at an employer or a resident association puts you in front of people who came because they trust the host, not because they saw an advertisement.

  • A one-person practice cannot run five channels

Pick two and do them properly. The plan that fails here is the one that assumed you had a free afternoon every week.

What we do

What we deliver for mutual fund distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A plan sized to the hours you have

Two channels chosen and the rest left out, with the weekly time each one needs written beside it and a named person doing it.

Result: The plan survives a busy month.

  2. A compliance check built into the workflow

Who checks what, against which points, before anything is published or sent, with a record of what was approved and on what date.

Result: Publishing regularly stops being a risk.

  3. A content calendar of process topics

What gets written each month, drawn from the questions that come up in first meetings, with the disclaimer already in the template.

Result: You are never wondering what to write.

  4. An events and sessions plan

Which employers, associations and professional groups to approach, what a non-promotional session covers, and how a meeting is offered afterwards.

Result: You speak where the audience is already sitting.

  5. Your name and registration consistent everywhere

Search, professional networks, WhatsApp and your own site carrying the same description, ARN and qualification, so nothing contradicts anything else.

Result: A prospect checking you up finds one story.

  6. A monthly report on meetings rather than activity

First meetings, registrations started, reviews held and enquiries by source, read against the figures recorded before the work began.

Result: Effort gets judged on what it brought in.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these mutual fund distributors.

  • Individual AMFI-registered mutual fund distributors
  • Distributor firms with a small team of relationship managers
  • Distributors who also sell insurance and fixed deposits
  • Second-generation family distribution practices
  • Distributors serving NRIs and their families in India
  • Distributors focused on business owners and treasury money
  • Sub-brokers and platform-linked distributors
  • New distributors in their first years after NISM certification

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for mutual fund distributors

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your book, SIP stops, review frequency, referral sources, reply time and what you currently publish.

  2. 2

    Set the review calendar

A schedule and CRM so every investor is reviewed on time, and a routine for market falls.

  3. 3

    Write the explanations

Plain, compliant content on fund categories, risk and goals, checked for disclaimer and nomenclature before it goes out.

  4. 4

    Bring investors in

Referral routines with investors and CAs, local search, and awareness sessions where the audience already trusts the host.

  5. 5

    Keep them invested

Money-event tracking, goal reviews and a steady, calm voice, so SIPs last and families add accounts.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much of our week is this going to take?
Less than most plans assume, because we cut it to two channels. The plan is set against the time you actually have, since one needing an afternoon a week gets dropped by the second month. The audit puts those hours in writing.
If we can only do one thing, what should it be?
The review calendar, which is not a marketing channel and is still the right answer. Once reviews happen on time, add writing, because your own explanations are what a prospect reads before ringing.
Can a mutual fund distributor advertise on social media?
Yes, within SEBI and AMFI rules. Content must carry the standard market-risk disclaimer, avoid promising returns, and present you as a mutual fund distributor, not an investment adviser. We check each post against those rules and leave out anything that reads like a personal recommendation.
Can we post fund returns and top fund lists?
We avoid it. Selective past performance and ranking lists invite exactly the complaints regulators watch for, and they attract investors chasing last year's winner. Education on categories and risk builds a steadier book.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
